Lutron App for Caséta Wireless Description

Control your home's lights, shades, and temperature from anywhere with the Lutron app on your Android device.
The Lutron app requires a Lutron Smart Bridge or Smart Bridge Pro and compatible Lutron products:
-Caséta Wireless light dimmers and Pico remote controls
-Serena, Triathlon* or Sivoia QS Wireless* motorized shades
-Select Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostats**
-Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Protect**
-Carrier Côr thermostat**
-ecobee3 and Smart Si
The Lutron app will walk you through set up with easy step-by-step instructions.
Features:
Control from anywhere
Control lights, shades, and temperature in the comfort of your home or from anywhere in the world – the office, the airport, the beach – so lights aren't left on, shades aren't left open, and your HVAC is set back while you're away.
Make a scene
Add personalized scenes to control multiple lights and shades together at the touch of a button. Create a "movie" scene that dims the lights and closes the shades, or make a "goodnight" scene that turns off all your lights and closes your shades as you drift off to sleep.
Right on schedule
Schedule scenes to happen automatically at set times of day, or based on sunrise and sunset. Turn on your porch light at dusk, turn it off at dawn, or open your shades in the morning to wake up with the sun.
Geofencing
Automatically turn lights on when you arrive home and automatically turn lights off when you leave. Receive a notification if you’ve left the lights on after leaving home, then turn them off right from the Notification drawer.
Widget and Notification Drawer
Set your favorite scene from a Widget or your Notification Drawer by swiping down from the top of your device's screen. No need to launch the app or even unlock your phone.
Ask Google
Control your Caséta Wireless lights and Lutron shades by using your voice. Say "Ok Google" and ask to "Turn the lights on with Lutron" or "Set the Welcome scene with Lutron”.

: Tablet version I love this system and the fact that Lutron seems to be investing in its further development (3rd party hardware support like Sonos and Honeywell) but I do not understand at all why there isn't a tablet version of this app.

Uwe Oberschelp: No Tablet Support System is a great idea, however setting switches to go on using time is cumbersome, worst is NO tablet support, more and more home owners use tablets around the house no phones, need better programming elements, should be programmable using web.

Raymond Urias: Fantastic app and amazing products Works like a charm for my whole house! Best lighting solutions on the market. Best part is it connects with Nest!!! So if you are away for the night it will randomly turn on and off random lights to make it appear lie you are home!!!!

Udon Nudle: Smart and easy I love the ease of use. Getting the bridge to work was very easy and quick. I would like more icons for types of lights, shades, and scenes.

YuCheng Xing: Can't open on Nexus 6p

C. Holmes: Great app!

Greg Drysdale: Perfect app

Levi Stuckey: Great! Awesome addition to my home! The app loads a little slow sometimes, but the widgets are great. I wish I would've of these dimmers all over in my house instead of running three way wires. Super easy and the automation and ease of use is great. We'll see how long they last!

Ryan Bouchard: Simple but cool Simple app to control your lights, dimmers, and fans using the Lutron wifi lights.

Jessi Bhattal: Awesome app

Bradley Campbell: The future is now, without an arm and leg. Maybe a finger or two Very easy to use and set up. Once it works it always work. Dependibility, most important.

Anthony Gurrieri: Excellent App I'd give this app 5 stars if it was able to control zwave devices or integrate security devices like Windows or Door sensors. I hope to see this in the near future with this app

Rapheal Golden: Works well with bridge Im able to control my lights from anywhere

Mark Hoffman: Clean interface, easy setup. Ecobee3 integration is a step in the right direction (supporting great products). Lutron products are reliable and we'll built. I have dimmable LED bulbs in my fixtures and the dimmer didn't require a neutral. Smooth dimming. Very little or no lag operating the lights with my phone. I would like to see them make an outdoor rated receptacle for Christmas lights. I'd also like to see the possibility of a scene button on the wall dimmers.

Jorge Machado: Geofencing works but you cannot use power saving mode or restart your phone Power saving mode seems to shut down the app so it will look like the geofencing is not working because it will not turn your entry lights on arrival. Similarily, when you are at home and you restart your phone the app assumes you are arriving, then it turns on your entry lights. Once you understand this you'll give it a solid 5 star. App is really easy to use, dimmers easy to install considering there is no neutral connection and you can reverse the wire of the hot and dimmed hot and it will still work.

justin webber: Great I'm a wholesale electrical distributor and I've seen a fair amount of various products similar to this. This is hands down the easiest to use. Super easy set up. I demo it to customers regularly and always get a call from my wife at home that I woke the baby up flipping the lights on and off while I'm at work lol. Definitely recommend the app and full system.

Dan Onofriechuk: Needs a few more features. Recently installed dimmers in Master bedroom and nursery. Installed the pico remotes as well. Had a few connection problems but mostly when trying to do too many things too fast. One feature that would make this almost perfect would be a gradual dimmer, and shade a opening/closing, simulating a sunrise and sunet

Eric Blomquist: Problem with geofencing My lights are always turning on or changing scene by themselves, this is beyond frustrating. Please fix this problem! This was one of my favorite features of the Caseta family until I realized it causes the whole thing to go haywire. Half tempted to rip it all out.

Brian Higgins: Geofencing is useless 75% of the time I'm already home and have turned the lights on before I realizes I'm home. Then when it does, it turns on the scene, even if that means turning off lights I just turned on manually.... when returning home it should NOT turn lights off or down if more lights are on or are brighter than the scene. Imagine if someone else is home when you get home, you don't want to change the lights for them unless they are dimmer than your scene setting

John Guzik: Randomly turns on lights I had to shut off geofencing. It would turn lights on at random times. I'd wake up in the morning and my lights would be on. Did they come on at 2am or a minute before I woke up?

Sunny Houmphavong: Best way to automate your home. Not to mention how easy it it was to install. Highly recommend their products.

Jay Olivarez: Awesome Works as expected. Set up was instantaneous with my HTC phone. Also works great with Amazon echo.

Mauricio Garcia: I loved it !!

Rob Stewart: So easy

Greg Shirinian: Very cool I tried the wink hub for a day and realized it's not for me. Doesn't work well. Got this caseta kit and can't be happier with what I am seeing right away. Very responsive both on and off my network. It just simply works the way it should. Had some issues with the initial connection to the bridge butt as soon as it connected it was a breeze from there.

Norm Happ: Got it working! I had a problem getting the Smart Bridge to reliably connect to my Netgear router. Finally, got it working by connecting it through a D-Link switch. Lutron support has been very helpful, however, we were never able to determine why it would not connect to my Netgear router. I would give it 5 stars if it worked with normal configuration. It is a super way to control my lights, fan and thermostat.

Joe Carreiro: Works half the timem Great when it works properly. But then app is always got a phone error message. You would sell much more of this if you fixed the app. I'm taking my purchase back till it improves.

Nathan Wihnan: Works great but wanting a bit more Bought switches and bridge for fun. Instructions are clear and setup is easy. App is simple and easy but I would like more phone themes (gui customization) since this app is now becoming an often used app and more icons for scenes as I find myself using scenes exclusively since the easiest access to light control from my phone is the notification drawer and widget which limits me to scenes.

Bob Dettmer: Frustration galore The 24 WEMO switches were MUCH less frustrating than trying to get this 1 "SMART bridge" to get recognized!

Al G: Great App I love this app. Had to restart phone and unplug bridge a couple of times to get them recognizing each other but wasn't that big a deal. Setup was pretty easy and intuitive. SUGGESTION: Allow creation of a guest account so they can't change or edit the configuration.

Clark Bailey: Off with the lights Just installed a house full of switches and randomly the entire house will go into away mode turning everything off! While I'm there!!! Needs work.

The Mechnical Owl: Works eveytime Get a solid home network and you will have solid control.

L: Took a little while to get dimmer switch and smart bridge to connect. Seems to work great afterwards.

Kadee Adams: Did not work

BlizPhotos: Works great for us. Always ready to go. Thanks

D Echols: The app works perfectly for me 98% of the time. It is very responsive and has many options. I wondered why there wasn't a master off button, then realized all I had to do was create one with a scene. Anyway geofencing works well and I love the widgets and notifications. I started out with a plugin dimmer and Pico remote. I added four in wall dimmers, two more Pico remotes (wall mounted), and the Smart Bridge of course. Three more dimmers and one Pico and my entire downstairs will be wireless. This is an excellent app but feel free to improve upon it even more.

eli neumann: Caseta wireless pro Would love to see more 3rd party integration - z wave devices etc. Also this NEEDS a countdown timer option. I.e. bathroom fan. Kids turn on and forget it. Should be able to set that it goes off after a specific amount of time

Myron Lee: Not the most intuitive app out there, but it seems to work well so far. One thing that could really make this a great app would be integration with Philips Hue via their APIs. Being able to add Philips Hue lights would provide so much more control in a single application. You can always start small by only allowing on/off and dimming and eventually add color changing in the future.

Jocelyn S: Completely love this app. You can even say ok Google turn on my Lutron lights

Brian: Features I'm looking for more automation. The app can now turn lights on based on Nest Protect. However, perhaps when nest goes into auto-away a scene can activate. Or when it returns to Home a different scene can activate. More control with the programming of scenes. Can Caseta detect a double tap, so I can program a switch for multiple functions. If I double tap my foyer Pico off, it runs the All Off Scene. If I double tap on it runs an all on scene. Or a timer, If I turn the lights on and its daylight, Off in 10m
