Still not working. Screen goes black then exits app. 14 Dec 16 Update. I manually set Permissions for this app and it now works. App did not request permission s be granted when initially installed.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">P Gillard:</span> The small things let it down - The content is great Took two goes to log in, layout was stretched, the content streaming quality selection wouldn't work and complained when tried to display on my TV. This obscures almost half the viewing area. Cannot remove it. Most annoying.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Lee Rolison:</span> Amateurish at best Foolishly I ignored the other reviews, downloaded the app and bought an episode of Planet Earth to watch. If you've read the other reviews you've probably anticipated that I haven't yet watched my downloaded show. In fact downloaded is the wrong word, the app couldn't even manage that! This really is a poor attempt by the BBC. The whole feel is amateurish and it really should be pulled from the Play store until someone is willing to put some time and effort into the project.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Frank S:</span> Essential buttons only partly accessible The buttons needed to download, and to delete downloads, are almost completely covered by the Android System Bar at the bottom of the screen. This means that downloading, and and deleting downloads, was a bit hit and miss. I installed GMD Full Screen but, even though this hid the System Bar, the required buttons are still mostly covered (the rest of the screen moved down a bit). Xperia Z2 Tablet with latest updates.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Daryl Ball:</span> Finally seems to work!! With so many great shows now available its ridiculous that this app didnt work for so long!! Ive spent a lot of money on stuff I couldnt even watch. Now it finally seems to be working. I like the Chromecast feature too. Also it doesn't 'remember' where you are, so if you leave a story, you spend time trying to find your place. Also you can't shop for items from the device itself! I just wonder the app is still available for download. Just hope those of us who were daft enough to buy stuff from them will get a refund, but I have my doubts.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Paul Reid:</span> Here's the fix To fix the spinning blue circle issue. Uninstall, then go Play Store and reinstall the app. Go to Android Settings / Apps, click on BBC Store and click Clear Cache and Clear Data. The app should now work for you when you launch it.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">David French:</span> Useless App crashes evetytime I try and open it. Glad I didn't have to pay for it. Come on BBC sort it out! Contacted bbc store directly about this on 1/11/16. They have given up on my issue. Waste of time and money buying anything from them if you can only watch via a browser.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">John Russell:</span> You may need to manually set permissions App on my Lenovo 10" tablet stopped working after Android system updated, would not complete login. Deleted App and reinstalled it. App still would not let me login. Went to App settings in Android, selected BBC Store app, and manually set permissions for it to access memory etc. Now works fine and I can log in. Android should ask for you to accept these permissions when you first use App and automatically set them. Not sure if an Android or BBC App problem.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Andrew Baron:</span> It's great now it's working again on my Samsung S7 edge ! The app has been failing for months but following today's update it now finally works. I did get a 25% off code which said invalid when I tried to use it, but some great service from the help people got that credited. Like everyone else, I was also getting a spinning blue circle with nothing else happening. Some have said about crashes, and spinning circles. I messed around with some otherness and too had this problem. There is an easy solution though. Go to settings, apps, BBC store, storage, clear all data. It does show I have 5 downloaded programs but I can't access them. Whatever I press, NOTHING! Once I do connect to the internet and try to watch any of my 5 programs, I get an error message 'We're sorry, there appears to be a problem..etc.'. This is very disappointing and not the first time I have had to contact BBC Store Help.. Last time My app had frozen (spinning blue circle forever!) and I had to uninstall and re-install the App as it would not load. Now I am unable to watch my programs which HAVE been downloaded offline! Also, even if I do connect to the internet I can't watch them. I work offshore and the whole point of my paying for these programs is so I can watch OFFLINE. Terrible app! I doubt very much I will ever be offered a refund even though I can't watch the programs I have paid for where I want to watch them (i.e. offshore, not at home).<br /><br /><span style="color:red">PurpleGreen Cake:</span> Can't even open it any more. So i thought i would connect my tablet to my tv with its cable and guess what bbc store doesnt play if a tv cable connected !
