How to setup Ted (Text Editor) apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.
Ted (Text Editor) Details
Ted is an Open Source, Ad-free, lightweight text editor, meant as a Notepad application, and not meant to edit big files.You can create new text file, open existing files and of course save them. You can also display line numbers and open recent files. You can also search for text inside the opened file.

Ted lacks the ability to backup on autosave, and it lacks the ability to prevent multiple instances from running. I lost a large amount of data when 2 instances of the program were running with the same document open. Other apps imported the text file into their own directory and do not save it where it was originally stored. This app edits the actual file either in my internal storage or external card, which is what I needed. Other functions I like are that it highlights the line where the cursor is, has undo, and the prompt when you press back.
