Phone and Pay offer parking payment in hundreds of parking locations across the UK, where you see the Phone and Pay logo.With the Phone and Pay parking app you can now pay for your parking and even extend your stay on the go without returning to your vehicle – making your life much easier. You can also register to use the service and view your parking history, useful if you need a reminder of parking location numbers!

Users will be levied a small convenience service charge depending on the type of transaction undertaken. Please note the SMS receipt and reminder options may be automatically switched on during the initial registration process and are often charged at 10p each. <span style="color:red">Sue Heron:</span> Crashes Had the old version which worked well for a while and then stopped completely. Just recently downloaded the new version, worked fine last week and now crashes every time I use it. I uninstalled and re-installed but still crashes every time I even try and open the first page. This is not an app for paying for parking it appears to be only an app to prove that any old tripe can be called an app and councils seem quite happy to recommend products that clearly have no quality control in their production.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Colin Hill:</span> Frustrating! Filled in all my details and checked the list for my car park under the local list. Wasn't there! Searched for it manually and found it. Set my time of departure using the most over complicated system which could be a simple set of buttons for available tarriffs but I digress. Then hit book now or whatever the button is and it crashed! Tried again...crashed again. Went home.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Nightnut Moyler:</span> What a useless app, Tried it on three phones (LG, Samsung and HTC) and it crashed everytime. So I tried the phone number which was engaged. Why Swlae decided to use something that does not Work I do not know. You just have to look at the feedback to see that the app is not fit for use.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">steve naylor:</span> Does not work will not accept payment they don't answer phone but do reply to the first 2 emails with the same reply. Delete your card and input valid details. It is the same card as I use with ring go, park right, park mobile and pay by phone which all work. I am glad that I don't visit areas covered by this app very often.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Mark Burton:</span> Worked fine for a few weeks now just crashes Great app very simple, worked fine last time I used it on 1st April but just will not load without crashing as of 6th April. However generally it does work. But I do get changed 8p more. I'd like to see some of that money put back in the app because honeslty it's got a user interface less attractive than windows 95. Tried reinstalling but still crashes - 2 months on and still no fix or update - this is totally unacceptable! This app is supposed to be useful for easier parking but I spent 20 minutes today trying to pay for my parking only for it to record my card number completely wrong (I tried several times yet the end digits were always wrong when stored) and then crashing every time you go to pay. Just so user unfriendly. Will be deleting this app now!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">James Watts:</span> Works well for me on my S6 although it didn't list the location when I entered it (pressing the search button however just selected it). I like the countdown feature, would be good to have a widget so you could see this on your home screen.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Lewis Slavinski:</span> Useless waste of time Countless crashes. The one time I think it's worked I get a text 10 minutes later to inform me that, actually, it has not worked and I have to walk all way back to car, make change and buy the parking in a conventional manner. I find the app simple to use and it has only ever let me down once when I had barely any 3/4g signal. Used the phone service and was sorted within 3 minutes. Simple, easy and does what it says on tin.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Ashley Spinks:</span> Most Infuriating App Ever Constantly crashes or fails to load locations, if it does load the location it won't give you any payment options! Also seems to add an additional cost onto the parking fee on the rare occasions it does work! No good if the council car parks you use only use this company, ignore your complaint and will review their supplier when the time comes!!!!. Surely it it's obvious something is wrong with all the negative reviews. Now can't use it at all. A waste of an app. I have contacted them but nothing has been fixed. I end up having to have the cash or use the phone number to book parking which takes longer than the app when it worked. Not happy.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">:</span> This is broken... Developers seem uninterested For such a vital thing as parking, especially when required for me to pick up my daughter from school, it's unforgivable that this app is so broken, worse still the developers don't seem to be in any rush to fix it. I thought this app couldn't possibly be a bad as all the reviews portray - but unbelievably, it's worse! Couldn't even register before the thing crashed three times. And we trust our bank details with this rubbish? What a joke!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Ben Gamble:</span> Crashes every time on my phone, so of no use whatsoever. On another phone, it installed, but refused to allow user registration - just went back to details screen. You deserve to go out of business when you can't even get the fundamentals of allowing customers access to your service right. If you can't write a mobile app (as is obvious), then how about a mobile-friendly version of the web site. That way, even Windows Mobile users can use your sordid service.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Adam James Hawkins:</span> 20p a go cheaper than Ringo Cheaper, but less athletically pleasing Android design guidelines please! Just remember to disable the SMS options that are on by default and will instantly nullify your saved twenty pence piece.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Ollie Lucas:</span> Atrocious App I've been stuck without money numerous times and really really needed to use this app, when making a booking I'd be faced with rather generic error basically refusing to take my money! There is a booking fee associated to each booking but frankly I do not care if I genuinely need to park my car, and I'm suprised the revenue doesn't go back into app development. Don't even get me started on the support or lack of it!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Mike Marks:</span> Could it be any worse Used on 2 Android phones now Sony Z2 and now Samsung S7 edge. Finds my car park then repeatedly crashed. Would I want to rely on this in the absence of meter money? Never in a million years. Have had these issues for 2 years and still no fix. Waste of time. Unfortunately, this app crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to book a parking session and I've had to resort to calling the company in order to book a session or extend a session, which is ridiculous and a waste of my time. Apparently I'm not the only user to encounter this issue and it beggars belief that the app can be so unstable. Laughable.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Matty T:</span> Okay, but App works okay. It is a little shameful that the app wont let your ticket carry over any spare time to the next charging period, like a normal ticket would. This app essentially rips you off... Don't waste your data When you phone the phone and pay number the cheery voice tells you it is quicker to do it on the app. IT LIES !! The app crashes when you do almost anything. My only gross is that this 'service charge' , which none of the other telephone parking companies seem to levy, is not declared up front, not is it a standard charge. This makes it a bit difficult keeping up with the bank statement. I just got charged £1.56 for a £1.20 session. As you can imagine it's an odd amount and I had to do a bit of thinking to work out what it was for<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Duncan Rochester:</span> Rubbish Id like to give it NO stars! Keeps crashing every time you try and do something. Clearly not tested on Android. A crap company to try and get hold of website says call customer services option 1...this just asks you where you want to park. I've emailed you about this and the response I got was blaming me. It's a smartphone app not a nuclear power plant operating system! I recommend other users report app to Google and ask them to take it down. Decides when it will and won't work using identical information. Phone line gives the same intermittent service very annoying when you just want to park your car!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Anne Skinner:</span> Rubbish. ..bring back RingGo Terrible app. If you eventually manage to install it, register and get it to actually find the car park you are in (none of which can be guaranteed) then it fails to process the payment. When I move my car I should be charged for the time used and not some rough guess up front. This app effectively double charges users. What a rip off.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Simon Cole:</span> Worst parking app there is With so many companies getting this right why did Cornwall Councill go with this terrible offering? Both the app and the platform it runs on are full of bugs and performance issues. I wasted a good hour of my day in St Ives trying to pay £2.50 to park and gave up in the end. Although not helped by dreadful signal in most of Cornwall, I tried out of interest on fast WiFi connection back home and performance of the app eas no better. Use coins instead!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Ricky Burgin:</span> Worked fine for me Whatever was seemingly wrong with this app must be fixed because while it's not the prettiest app out there it's certainly functional. Two major criticisms. I had to pay an evening charge and have it expire before it would let me buy a 1 day session. It was also not clear that after making the purchase that I am done, this makes you feel a bit uneasy walking away from your car without putting a ticket in the window in a car park with "Have you paid and displayed?" signs in it.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Rob Hunter:</span> Always got on really well with this app on my last phone but ever since I have changed phones it allows me to book parking but it never shows in my session, giving the impression that I haven't booked but I do get the confirmation email. I also use to get notifications when parking was running out but as the app doesn't think I've got a session it no longer sends these. Ok app but could do with perfecting.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">David Collishaw:</span> Utterly useless Tried to pay at a car park but not only was this app unable to recognise a location stated on the machine, it crashes every time it is used. What are the cornish council playing at when there are so many established and functional alternatives. Perhaps they'll make their car parks free until they get it fixed? Received error message ending in "addcustomeri.asp" there is no 'in app' help so now I can't pay for parking because these clowns can't code a parking app. (Ringo and PayByPhone managed just fine) pathetic<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Andrew Clement:</span> Excellent I use all the other parking apps and nearly didn't install this app because of all the negative reviews. Really pleased I did in the end because it is totally user friendly and intuitive. I haven't experienced any of the negatives posted by others.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Noella Bishop:</span> Used to work . Now keeps crashing I used this a lot but recently it crashes every time I try to use it. I have tried uninstalling then reinstalled the app but this has made no difference. It still crashes. Crashes every time you try and make payment on both my MOTO 3G and HTC one. Unfortunately they seem to have contracts with several councils including my local one so looks like they'll be around in my area for a few years, which is awful news seeing as over the last 12 months I have never ONCE been able to purchase a ticket for my car using an android device. Bring back ringgo. They were awful, but at least their app worked. We never knew how good we had it :( If the developers who make this care to bother to read the feedback, pull your fingers out and test the code you write, this looks awful and performs even worse. BOO! BOO I say to you. BOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Ah and thanks Phone and Pay - because of your poor service I've also just been given a ticket. When it won't accept my only card as default and locks up the phone while I feed the machine cash it's absolute rubbish. Back to the old days of being useless. And text message service is crap. It was easy to park, the app even knew where I was so it suggested the correct location code. Just say where I am, how long I want to stay and hit done! Going to Truro cinemas running about now looking for change missing the first bit of film. Phone line every bit as useless as the app.<br /><br />
