Munzee - Scavenger Hunt Description
Munzee is the 21st century real world scavenger hunt where QR codes are found and captured using your smartphone. A player levels up and gains rank based on score. Points are obtained by capturing munzees. As you gain experience we encourage you to deploy your own munzees which will also add points to your score.Munzees come in any size or shape but most contain a QR-code style barcode. The QR code is checked against your GPS coordinates as the essential gameplay elements of Munzee. Munzees can be hidden in containers, camouflaged or stickers in plain view.
Munzee will get you outside and moving. We are more than just a game. We are an active community providing fun tools to live a healthier lifestyle.

Now that I get how it all works, I'm having a ton of fun and have found more new places than I expected. I've even made some new friends. It can get a little pricey if you let it but I've spent a bunch hiding boxes of tchotchkes in the woods too so I'm not complaining. It's a lot of fun!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Keith Swan:</span> Fun, but scanning is unreliable A fun game, but on my device (Nexus 4) the camera contrast (or brightness) defaults to very over exposed and washed out. Takes a while to settle, and seems to be helped by switching to front then returning to back camera. Odd, as I have another app using the Scandit library which behaves perfectly. Also, the map should operate at a lower zoom level to see more of the area.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Jacob Cobb:</span> Honestly a good time A couple co-workers got me into this game and it has been a blast. But when I am at home on wifi that has IPv6 enabled, the map will show my location correctly but will not show any munzee's anywhere.
