Bernie Reiland: Poor Poor layout/design.

Nik Wachter: No map zoom

Jared Johnson: Interactive map is needed

Paul Jallen: Hangs updating...

Thomasjon H: So.....slow.....so......jerky......so..... terrible.

Leslie DuCloux: It could be so much more I'm sure intentions were good here. It's really just a bad, categorized version of the map. It could have a proper search feature that utilizes keywords so you can search by venue, food, attraction, merch, etc. The app could also use GPS to help you get to whatever it is that your looking for. Maybe next year.

Chris Bonnema: Completely useless Spent one minute trying this thing out and will be deleting! It's a shame the fair probably paid a boat load of money for this garbage! 1 - the map is useless, apart from only offering one scaled view (zoomed way in) this day and age we demand GPS with walking directions etc! 2 - the search functions are also crap. The text box is black with black text so you can't see what's been written (how is this allowed to happen? Only way to search for something new is to delete your invisible text. Uninstalling now!

Stephen Ronning: Getting ridiculous The same complaint since this app ever came out. Why on earth is the map not live. I.e should show me where I am in relation to the actual Fair. Not to mention how is it that it doesn't pinch to zoom. With fair prices going up as they have how can a decent development team not be paid for to make this be the awesome app it should be?

Heidi Larson: Worst venue app ever! The paper maps were more helpful, and good luck trying to find anything you want to go to. You can't even zoom out or get directions from it! Hopefully at some point there will be an app worth having...but not this year!

Kim Larsen: I love this app It's so nice being able to look up each day and see what is going on all over the fair. I come with my kids and we don't have to miss the things we want to see most. In the past we have missed presentations or shows because we didn't hear about them in time.

Steve Cuddihy: Please make this useful. It didn't help me find anything, nor could I figure out any bands that were playing at the smaller stages. You can do something to make this useful or just close down the app.

JB Lewis: Good, not great Nothing has changed about the map scrolling issues since last year: The map scrolling is a bit goofy, with only one axis allowed to scroll at a time. Plus zooming out would be nice. No need to zoom in any closer than what is provided currently.

Jive Midnight: Featureless Could use an update. Maybe a list that shows all favorites, GPS location, integrate with Google Maps to help you navigate or even a route planner to hit all of your favorites. Also noticed that favorites were not saved when marked in the vendor/event description.

Sonya R: The website rocks! The app is a kill joy. Isn't one point of an app like this to be able to rely on it if u don't want to use data? I can't even open it if data is turned off.

Brian Olson: Please update the map UI Biggest pet peeve of this app is the map. Up and down or left and right, program for diagonal movement! I could see this for version 1.0 but come on guys... The script for that isn't rocket science. The other suggestion is a blue ribbon bargain book number lookup. Type in the number from the book of the coupon and it should pop 2+ pins, one for where you are and the other(s) where the vender is(are). I feel like the state fair app has stood still as technology has progressed.

Jerry LaBathe: Garbage. The same as last year. I'll get a brochure from the the information booth. 2016 From what I've read the App hasn't changed so I won't even bother. Come on get with it. You could have a great App with some tweeking. SMH!! I'd give you 0 or even Neg stars if I could for NO effort.

Andrea Thielke: Not as helpful as I had hoped. It seems like it would be so convenient, but it really isn't. I think the paper brochures and map is more helpful. Had higher hopes that it would be improved from last year.

Steven Holloway: When I tried to use the search function, the color combination (blue text on a black background) made it impossible to see anything. The text was so small I needed a magnifying glass to see anything. I could not change the text size, nor could I zoom in on the screen to make stuff more easily read. I agree with others, the paper was better. I did notice that the app was good at finding my location and highlighting what was nearby.

Nate Ashford: Painfully unhelpful I'm trying to plan my trip to the fair tomorrow, but the app is not helping me at all. There is no general search capability. The "fun finder" is a filter and not a search, so I have to know how they categorized what I'm looking for. I have yet to get any results after a half dozen attempts. Thankfully the 4-H state fair app is actually useable.

Arman Koehler: Why bother make an app This is the worst app ever! Save your data and battery life and just use a map once you get to the fair.

Don Schiller: 2015-Looking it over this year, I realize how weak it is. Too bad this doesn't use gps to locate your position and show you what is near, more useful that alphabetical. It is just a brochure in electronic form, nothing value added. 2014-While this app does give information about the State Fair, on day 12 you have to look through the first 11 days to get to the information. Hopefully next year the development team will have it so current information will be easily accessible.

Ashley Keenan: Sort by food, not by vendor It's hard and very time consuming to see what vendors you want to visit. The app makes you go into each vendor to see what they are offering, vs looking from one page the types of food. The ideal way would be to sort by food types, or key words and pull up all food and vendors that match.

Lisa Quast: No map zoom? Delete. There is no zoom on the map. Just shows 1/4 of a block area and you can move around the fair in that tiny view. Not valuable at all.

Sean Johnson: Great with one minor flaw This is awesome. GPS shows where close things are. I wish there was a global search instead of just the proximity or categorical searches. Sometimes I don't know what they categorized something as.

Nathan Lee: Maps are bad, descriptions are good The maps on the fair app can't be scrolled in out out so it's really difficult to get around the fair while using this map. The descriptions of the foods and sorting is nice to have. 3/5 sorta functions

Brad Holmgren: Pointless Search functionality doesn't even work. It's just a map and list of vendors. Needs to have GPS function that allows you to see where you are and what's around you. Also to be able to navigate you to a particular spot/vendor once you do finally find them on the big unsearchable list.

Kevin Smart: Needs a proper search feature This app was nice that it would sort activities based on your current location and had some ways to narrow what you were looking for but it would be helpful to search by a specific keyword.

Erik Riesenberg: Really poor. The map is ridiculous and has zero functionality. The food and mercy listing are not sortable in any useful way. You can purchase tickets with it either. This app isn't worth the data I spent to download it.

Karlin Hofelman: MN State Fair App 2015 for Android Love that there's an app! This is what I've noticed could be improved so far: 1) design lines in background [noticed it on food vendors page] creates a distracting effect when you're scrolling; 2) re the Search function, I can't see the text of what I'm searching for, either when I type it in or when results are shown; 3) would be nice to be able to pinch zoom the map so you can easily see where something is in relation to the whole map, esp in relation to where I am.

Michael Ullmer: Epic!! Have used this the last 3 years at the great Minnesota get together. Great search option and exact map.

Josh Thibodeau: Waste of time Not worth the install. You have to know what stand you are looking for. Needs to have a better keyword search. Paper maps are better than the map in in the app.

Michael Dow: It lacks so much basic functionality If you are not within 100 yards of something you are looking for... App says it does not exist. Really? Bad App..

Brandon Jutz: Map issues Helpful app but the map zooming is a pain and lately if you enter the map it won't go back to the other tabs.

K. Barrett: Useless. Like someone else said the paper map was more useful. Great idea but poor carry thru.

Pete Lund: You really need a zoom out feature on map Solve that, app will be a success, makes no difference to tag favorite food or entertainment if I have to scroll around to look for it on the map

MaJa Mahalo: Minus 5...giving benefit of the doubt How is it that the best state fair in the nation has the worst app?...useles..no real search...paint drying is more exciting and helpful.

Kathy Horan: Could be better This apps is very limited. Does not give you parking or admission info and does not allow you to search. This is the 3rd year for this app you would this it would better.

Metal Samurai: Not bad. Its cool that you can favorite the places you want to go and then show them on the map. It would help a lot if you could zoom in and out on the map so you're able to navigate better. And scrolling diagonally would be great. Let's see what the app brings next year.

Eric White: Terrible app No GPS map, and you can't even zoom in or out. So you have to pan back and forth to check the legend. There is a search function, but you can't text search. You have to choose a category and it lists alphabetically. It's 2015, I was expecting a lot more.

A Google User: Please fix map Need the ability to zoom in and out of maps
