HomeBrite Details

The HomeBrite app serves as a virtual light switch for your HomeBrite Bluetooth Smart LED bulbs. HomeBrite uses Bluetooth Mesh technology to connect bulbs throughout your entire home while allowing you to dim and power lights on and off, set schedules and timers, create scenes, and manage groups.
Easy Setup
Simply pair bulbs with your Bluetooth smart device then start controlling and customizing your HomeBrite system. No hub, remote, gateway, wifi, or cellular signal is needed.
On/Off/Dim
Turn your bulbs on and off, or dim them from anywhere in your house from one or more Bluetooth smart devices.
Groups

I tried to Uninstaller and reinstall the app and it doesn't work. Not too happy with the app. It's to update and work with the light bulb like it says on the easy instructions. If it gets better reviews then I might try it again. Until then it will replace the light bulb that just went out.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Alexander Bonello:</span> It works fine. The following two issues should be resolved ASAP: 1-Has a glitch when registering account. Turns out that if password is not long enough the server won't allow you to create your account (but the error message says that you are already registered). 2-When you schedule your lights you cannot set the brightness level. So you can just turn on at 100% brightness or turn off your lights. The dimmer should be a slider not a circle because often times if it moves of the circle track when dimming it will either go full on or full off. The timer seems to work ok though. The app just spins and says that it's looking for the mesh, and never connects. I keep getting asked for a new PIN. I emailed the company and they said that this is not their product. I have tried unscrewing each bulb, uninstalling the app.. screwing all the bulbs back in and then reinstalled the app. The app now only finds half the bulbs and every time I try and open the app later it just gets stuck in a loop connecting to mesh. At 15.00 a bulb and since in the beginning it worked well I bought 7.. now it's just a waste of money. I have reinstalled the app multiple times, and even tried cutting power to the garage and unscrewing the lights for a few days, then initiating the entire process again with no luck. Only one person can have the app enabled at a time, and the app lacks an exit feature for force a disconnect. If the app would disconnect properly after a minute this would be acceptable. the app needs more polishing work. There went the security for my front door. I tried to use the app over and over but simply got the "meshing" notification to no avail and wasn't able to move past that point. There are too many glitches in the app as demonstrated by the voluminous negative reviews, a missed opportunity unfortunately for those of us who like blue tooth technology. Upon seeing the majority of users so confused and unhappy, I have decided not to take the long and winding road to try to correct the issues and are returning the bulbs to Home Depot. I installed 1 lamp in a hard to reach location thinking this would be the answer as I had been using a LED lamp always on - and this added a dimmer function and timer function that a remote control switch would lack. The problem? When you want to manually turn on the lamp, you need to link the bulb with the smartphone... and that often does not work. This lamp is going back, and I'll be installing a remote control switch. Dimming can be kind of slow at times, but on and off is instantaneous. Stays connected. For those having trouble, remember two things: phones with older versions of Android may have issues with newer versions of home automation apps, and bluetooth works best the closer you are to the devices you are trying to control. The front porch bulbs do not keep their schedule. I have to constantly re upload it. Today I got home and the front lights were already on at 6pm when I have them scheduled to turn on at 8pm. In the morning, I have them scheduled to turn off at 7am and most of the time they stay on all day. The rear porch spotlights I was never able to get them to abide by the schedule.
