Neil Smith: Could be great, but... Personally I would love the option to set longer timers for games (ie a beginner level) so I could practise and enjoy them at my own pace. The limits here (including the 'practise' area) are brutal and it's hard to stretch yourself when the buzzer keeps interrupting. There are also a couple of bugs, but sadly this game is totally unsupported by the developer (no help contact) so you just have to live with them. A real shame, as this could be such a great app for Countdown lovers.

Nigel Bridge: Great practice. Game is great for practicing for when I appear on the show shortly. Only glich is when I try and start a new game it always says unfortunately countdown has stopped. Reported lots and I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

Billy Stevenson: Doesnt work properly Love countdown so this dhoild be great.....but when i get conumdrum right it doesnt give me the points even though it says i am right! Rubbish.

Finlay Walton: Good game but buggy when re-opening If you close the app and re-open you get a few error messages, then it works after about 15 seconds. Using Jelly Bean.

Matthew Morris: 1 thing missing... This is an excellent version of the game, very true to the tv program. However the 1 thing missing from the app is that Rachel Riley isn't in the room dealing the letters. Please fix this on the next update!

Nav Patel: Near faithful solo reproduction Not being to use parentheses in the numbers round: can instead rearrange calculation order (though I would prefer them as it is quicker.) Would like to see my calculation alongside solution so I can get better. Good effort overall, I hardly miss not having Rachel and Susie! Can't wait to see what you develop next :-)

Ian Sullivan: Really enjoyable game. Really enjoyable game. Only glitch appears to be not awarding points for the conundrum sometimes even though it tells you that you were correct. This is in full game mode and a little bit frustrating if you have a good score going

Lavee Wilson-Jackson: Challenging game This is a very good game.....its not at all easy, but it makes you want to continue trying because of the challenge. I would catergorize this game as a mind builder game. Its definetly worth trying. I'm very surprised that this game is totally free. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to build up their math skills and their vocabulary skills focusing on word recognition.

Stu Evans: Works but crashes Great idea. Did have some issues running marshmallow. Keeps stopping so could be a resolution issue when rotating. Well done for a fun game. 🍻

Paul James: Nexus 7 user Brilliant game! Has all the same elements as Countdown itself. Everything works perfectly. Warning! Can be very addictive!

Paul Brown: Simple but brilliant A simple app without all the ads and needless regalia of others. Works a charm!

EADaveG Sometimes-C: Poorly written, flakes out randomly The idea is sound and the game is fun, when it works. Which is rare. Make it work, make it stable, and it would be a solid 4- or 5-star game

Agnes McMullan: Loved the game but sometimes I get the conundrum right but don,t get the points. And that is,when I,m playing the quick round and the full. Disappointed when that happens considering its not that often I can get the conundrum. Lol.

Dave Parsons: Countdown lover So good, really good if you want practice mental maths or thinking fast! The only thing they could improve is the fact that you can't use brackets in the maths part. Apart from that out was great!

Joe Dod: Great In practice countdown isn't one of those games that is easily adapted to a mobile device. This does a great job at doing so, although maths rounds are frustrating as controls aren't that intuitive. Minor flaw but I love it.

Shabbir D: Love it Great game and doesn't need a connection and so can play outside. Thank you

Alison P: The dictionary does not accept a lot of legitimate words. I have got the conundrum several times, but the app often tells me I'm wrong and so doesn't give me the points. Frustrating, as would otherwise be a very enjoyable app.

Gareth Cleasby: Not a bad game. Would recommend to Countdown viewers. Someone has taken their time to make this and let people download for free. So why complain as much?

j drake: Correct Conundrum answers sometimes not recognized I've had two or three instances where my conundrum answer was correct, and the game responded with "Success! 'word' is in the dictionary", and yet it buzzed and awarded no points (have screenshots to prove it). As for the math - it's confusing, but workable without brackets. Each operation yields a subtotal, which becomes a number block that can be used. So, even though you can't do: 7 x 100 + (75/25) = 703, you do this instead: 7 x 100 = 700, then 75/25 = 3, then + 700 = 703.

Lois Davies: Fab game..am a great Countdown fan. Have you any plans make it online to play others?

laura trow: Too many problems Restarting, stopping and glitches. When it works it is a good game but sick of these issues

Ashley Hindmarsh: Perfect Works perfectly on nexus 4. I can imagine a social, networked version but this is great as it stands.

Ian Blissett: Nothing like countdown. In countdown you play against people rubbish.

: No such words! Some words suggested and those in the conundrum are made-up words! Certainly not in the OED. A waste of time.

Jordan Gregg: Numbers poor Numbers is very poor. Unable to use () in arriving at the answer. Yet the solutions when you fail do! Letters good though.

Marilyn Good: Soo addictive Best ever. Must go -in the middle of a game. Have even improved on the numbers game. And maths scares me to death!

Kevin Denyer: Good but improvements needed The scoring system is too heavily biased to the conundrum; why 10 pts per second left, but only 1pt on the numbers, and no bonus on the letters? Either be consistent or drop the bonuses altogether and follow Countdown's scoring system. Also, too many times you get the conundrum right and it gives the same word as the solution, but no points. Others have reported this bug but still not fixed. Update: after further use there are too many problems with the dictionary used; e.g. conjugion, diagonial are conundrum solutions but are not real words. The definition of diagonial even gives the definition of diagonal. There is also a fault with the conundrum scoring which gives negative "bonus" points so you score less than 100 even if you get it correct.

Michael Davies: Addictive but not without fault. Some words are not recognised/in the given dictionary, and some conundrums are stated correct yet are marked 'red' and no points given. Odd. Also, there are Americanisms and bastardisations.

timelonade 1: One player countdown :) I didn't get annoyed once. The only problem is it doesn't give me a teatime teaser....

Andrew Mitchell: Good simple game Simple no frills countdown game under 1MB. Crashed at end of first game but ok since.

flash2k: countdown-Way around brackets work out sums systematically, working out smaller sums you would need in brackets first, as the answer to these then turn into one of the tiles. I.e. sum for 7x(4+2)...first add 4+2, one of those two tiles will turn into 6, then times 7 by 6. Yes it needs quick forethought to work systematically, but you'll be cleverer for it. Hope this helps!

Karen Bampton: Idea good but never loads Constantly doesn't load so gave up and deleted. Waste of time.

Beata Biernacka: Brackets in calculations Some solutions to number games show some calcs in brackets. I don't know how to use the brackets. Is it possible? Without the brackets it is impossible to solve some of the number games.

John Galley: Hmmmm ok Going to take a bit of time to get used to methinks. Need to learn to tap faster!!

Garry Dean: Love this game! It's free, no ads and I never get bored of it. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great job!

Ricky Keogh: Crashes.. Alot! Crashes every 2nd time I open it. Great game, fun and addictive. But bugs need to be fixed.

Glen Platt: As per previous reviewer.... No brackets for numbers game! Can't play it without brackets! So please, don't give me the answer using brackets!

Kylo Ren: love it 🕚⬇ ooooo coundown not Count Down i was hoping it was about a sad vampire, i would hav tried to cheer him up, maybe become friends and get a timeshare in a castle

Garry Pelka: Keeps crashing It's a ok game and takes up some time but it keeps crashing and I have to keep sending fault reports.

Sally Hanbury: Countdown Great fast paced game no ads
