Alex V: Love the game Very fun, and a nice concept. My go-to app when I have time to kill!

Alex Miel: Fantastic strategy! I thought Auro might be more of a puzzler than a strategy game, but the deceptively simple design allows for a stunning amount of tactical depth. In addition, the leveling system that matches the difficulty to the player's skill level is ingenious. Well worth the asking price for any turn-based strategy fan!

Frank Dahlmeyer: incredible amounts of strategic fun. feels like a spiritual successor to hoplite, though the spells seem awfully limited thus far. the progress system is a really nice way to ramp difficulty up, perhaps unlockable spells or new monster types will be somewhere down the line. there is a fatal error when adjusting system volume on my shield tablet and having the manual open in browser is unfortunate for those of us playing offline.

Jared Balser: Excellent tactics Great game. A little intimidating at first but you get the hang of it after a several rounds. Planning your moves is the name of the game here. A little buggy on my HTC One (M7) mostly when exiting and re-entering games. It sucks to have to lose my win streak because of a forced 'resign' due to a bug. But the excellent game play still remains.

Thomas Hirsch: Like Hoplite, without the strategy [re: dev comments] I see how the game can be involving. However it's all tactics, not strategy. What I refer to is that in Hoplite you can choose your upgrades, thus plan to play a certain style. Their achievements encourage you to do that. Here otoh, you are always presented with five random spells.

Joshua Smith: Adorable and fun game. I really enjoyed it, though I don't seem to be very good at the game yet. The story could use a little work but the tactics and random level design appear to be the focus of this game, and it does keep it fun.

Timothy Hayes: Pure, wholesome tactics Tactical fun condensed into short bursts of gameplay. All the boring, meaningless decisions filtered out, without losing any of the good bits. Best pure turn-based-tactics game I've ever seen.

Ashlie Burgun: Love this game! This game is great! The characters are really cute, great music and atmosphere and it's funny too! Can't wait to play it more! Awesome job Dinos!

david villier: Good game Looking forward to more updates

Katie Surrence: Immersive, challenging game My true feelings are probably four and a half stars, but I rounded up. The good: It combines the intellectual stimulation of a strategy game like chess with the dopamine stimulation of fast-paced, turn-based computer games. It constantly rewards the player with a changing landscape, a new challenge, and the possibility for achievement. It is visually beautiful and takes place in a charming, whimsical fantasy universe. The craft, devotion, and love that went into making it is evident on the screen, and it results in an immersive, addictive experience for the player. The slightly problematic: There is a lot to learn in Auro and right now the available teaching materials don't smooth the path the way that they should. Story Mode, the tutorial, doesn't teach enough about spell mechanics, and if you die in Story Mode you won't be motivated to go through all the initial steps to get back to where you were (although listening to the especially beautiful Story Mode soundtrack helps). The online manual is sketchy, and contains no visuals or videos, as would be especially useful. The ramp up in difficulty between Easy and Medium in Play mode is too steep, IMO.

Nathaniel S: Top-notch single player strategy game I've been playing various beta versions of this game for about a year, and I dare say it is very good. $3 is a steal for the number of hours I plan to put into it (on top of the 100+ hours I already have done). It's easily in the upper echelon of Android games. The ranking system is there to make sure you've always got the right level of challenge when you play. It can take a handful of matches to find your sweet spot, but once you get there, every win feels awesome and every defeat feels crushing (but only very rarely unfair!). It's very exciting to see yourself grow and understand the game better: using more elaborate combo setups, finding new uses for spells, recognizing dangerous positions before they happen... There's always a way to improve your game, even at the expert levels. I've gotten a ton of value out of this game and really want to see it go big!

Elle Wong: Amazingly fun puzzle "roguelite" At first the game was a bit daunting, but the game's progression is set up in such a way that the difficulty is gradually increased, teaching you new mechanics as you go. Despite having a wide range of situations/combinations with the various monsters and spells, it's actually quite easy to learn, and very rewarding and fun :) Love this little game and I am glad I bought it. One small bug-- when I press the ? Icon in the options menu, then hit back, I can't hit back on the options menu to get out.

Areli Simpson: Original and engaging strategy gameplay. Yes, there are some minor presentation bugs, but these will all be squashed in future updates, which will surely come quickly. The developer's philosophy is to support their game forever, so the minor bugs are not a real concern. The gameplay itself is completely original and quite deep. One of the best games of the year, if you ask me.

Tim Bewick: Great game The Good: Great strategy game with good touch screen controls, good graphics, Nice music and sound effects. The Bad: Auro has a few minor issues (Long loading times, a lot of text to read through without a way to skip all in some parts of the story mode)

Kajetan Abt: Supreme Auro is easily one of the best games I have ever played on a mobile device: Its game mechanics are fresh and incredibly well balanced. The game always remains challenging, but never feels unfair. If you like Hoplite and Outwitters, you must try Auro.

Duncan Hendrick: Such a great game! I've been playing this pretty much nonstop since it came out. It is such a unique take on a familair theme (turn based dungeon crawler). If you like dungeon crawlers, you'll probably love this. If you don't like dungeon crawlers, throw everything you knew about them out and give this a try, because I'm sure you'll love it too! It's continuously challenging and interesting, and the random generation nearly ensures you never see the same level twice. I also love the rank mode.

Luke Sorrelle: Great strategy game with a medium to high learning curve. The original game mechanics work well with a touch screen. The art style is unique and interesting and the sound track that is reminiscent of the final fantasy tactic games. I enjoyed playing and would definitely recommend this it to someone looking for a new strategy game to play. Edit01: Is there plan for controller support in the future?

James Andrews: Fun as heck! A quick mental workout wrapped in an awesome game. If you like puzzles this one will keep you going for a long time!

Makaii Melissa: Fantastic Really great turn based game, unique style, lots to learn, fast pace. Well done!

Alexis Alexis: Fun! Innovative mechanics and lovely soundtrack make for a very engaging experience.

stephane p.: Refreshing!

Mika'il Yazbeck: Truly unique Auro is a gem of a game. You have never played anything quite like it, I certainly have not. I've been beta testing for this game for quite some time and I've been hooked on it. It consistently challenges my brain and does it without wasting my time. If you are looking for a single player & single character tactical game with lots of room for personal growth and skill, then Auro is your best bet. I'm pretty strict with how I rate games, so its nice to be able to give something a 5 star rating. Very few games I'd give that rating to. Oh and if this game seems a bit obtuse or difficult at first, just stick with it, it becomes very rewarding over time.

Jarrad Reynolds: Fun, charming, addicting Auro is unlike any other game I've played. The tactical aspect along with the top notch music and 2D animations make this a title that will be fun long after the first play.

Joseph Lee: Won't Install Install error on 5.0 (ART). Issue is on my Nexus 5, 7 2013. The game was great while it worked, and the devs are great people. I've been a fan of theirs since 99 Rogues on iOS. Despite this I cannot understand the response of having to prioritize the iOS release first. I am sure there is a valid reason, but it seems disrespectful to those who have already paid for the game, especially as the issue seems decently wide spread.

Duncan Molloy: Great game design let down by poor ui It's a great game but the app is poorly put together. The lack of a zoom function limits strategic gameplay, menus are simply web links and the lack of any kind of volume control in app is sloppy.

Juju Seekar: Intriguing And a bloody awesome game too boot. Different way to play an rpg type game, its hard to put in a nutshell, but the game is definetly worth its price.

Jon Massmann: Won't play on Lollipop Getting an error message on boot. Nexus 5 running 5.0.

Justin Cha: Can't even open the app. "The application was not correctly embedded (wrong wmode value)"

Torbjorn van Heeswijck: Better designed than the majority of mobile games but ultimately a bit droll.

Julian Norton: Just not fun
