It refuses to connect to the camera unless you forget the Theta network, then reconnect each time you want to use the app. Further, "Copy" does not work - it moves the photos to the phone regardless of whether "Copy" or "Move" is selected. This is annoying because sharing the photos results in a degraded image, for whatever reason.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Joseph Mok:</span> I have lots of photos on my photo and the app takes a very long time to load the thumbnails every time I open the app or when I exit out of the photo viewer back to the thumbnails. Also timelapse freezes my phone (HTC 10). The Android has to deconnect for the iPhone to connect properly. But if in location have many hotspot, apps will freeze after im capture 1 photo, if i end task apps, app can launch but dont show preview pic. (Im use Google street view for shutter if loc have many wifi- dont show preview, but success for capture, no freeze)<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Patrick Smith:</span> This is a fantastic Invention, there is a learning curve to it, but now after using it for 4 months I am a pro with it, when I first got it there was a problem with the app but they seem to have ironed it out, because now I never have any issues with it, I get so many complements on my pictures, now I wish the video was higher quality its not anything like the pictures, there are so many different modes of pictures when you go to edit mode, I find new things every time I use it. I have $5000 in my Sony alpha 77 but only $350.00 in this Ricoh Theta it has taking shots I can only dream my Sony would do. First off, having iOS exclusive features is just stupid in 2016. I can't blur an image because I don't have an iphone? I would have chosen a different camera if I knew that. The app lacks features in general. It's a basic app that allows you to control your camera which is nice, but for how much the camera costs it seems that Ricoh didn't want to spend any time developing a useful app. Pretty lame.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Neil Rowe:</span> Works great, Such a powerful tool for VFX artist. Would be 5/5 if there was an extra few stops on the slider in auto mode (currently +-2), +-4 would be perfect for making IBLs for CGI. The menus are a bit uninitiative - i.e. the battery status is hidden in app settings. Positives: No sign of any Wi-Fi dropping off, HDR implemented, videos fine. Really enjoying this toy..... Now the negatives: at some places on the picture, the light refracts, giving a "rainbow" ghost around objects/people. No option to store pictures on external SD Card. What to do when the mobile runs out of space? ....
