I'll tell you why, because all of all pre installed apps I didn't even use... would turn the data network back on and or would run in the back ground. I'm sure tired of being taken advantage of by all phone services I have used. Haven't found one yet that's honest. T-Mobile, straight talk, cricket, At n t, net ten, and CC.. I buy the expensive smartphones, that ends up being the obsoletes. Re: the complaints about data: CC makes it very clear that if you plan to stream videos/music then use wifi to save data. So, if you want to stream but don't have wifi access, then this isn't the provider for you. I currently have 4 lines and the 3GB data plan. We all have wifi and make sure our phone is logged into wifi whenever possible. Data is for GPS app use& any urgent need when away from wifi. We've done this for 1yr and have only had 1 bill >$100.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">:</span> After filling in phone number, password, and selecting "auto login", it will usually connect that time, but after that, it will maybe " auto login" 10% of the time. I had avoided the last update for quite a while because of others complaining about the same problem. Had to get a new phone for other reasons and it came pre-installed with the latest update.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Linda Fontenot:</span> Consumer Cellular App takes up too much space. I can't install other apps because of it. Didn't notify me about overage. Not a good app. What is the purpose of it??? I couldn't even log in. Forget about calling the company they never answer the phone. As a senior I shouldn't have to go through all these unnecessary changes. We have been with them for over 3 years and have been extremely happy. I guess I'm confused if you are unhappy go somewhere else. That is the beauty of their service is that you are not contractually obligated... So if you are unhappy leave. As far as I know this venue is the only place where people tend to be so harsh regarding their service. If you are thinking of trying the service try it if you don't like it go somewhere else. I have been with Verizon and AT&T and compared to their creative billing and spotty service I'll take Consumer Cellular everytime. They are at the very least are very transparent in their billing.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Karen R:</span> Disappointed My login issues have never gone smooth since the big update in June. The "make a payment" button gets cut off at the bottom of my screen and the "email customer service" link does not work. Currently for me it only works if I have wifi enabled. Also I have to force stop this app before starting it. If I try to use this app on 4g I get a never ending "fetching data". Reliable yet cheap phone services with the ability to adjust your subscription based needs. Waiting time for customer care calls have increased recently. I call them & they say my phone is fried so they are replacing it. Well I got it today the new one and still no antennas. Never had this problem before I use this phone from Georgia to Ohio and back home no problem but since Aug 15 no antennas can't talk or text only have WiFi. EverythiNg is simple with CC. customer service is definitely the best I've ever seen, including version!
