How to setup MultiNES (beta) apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.
MultiNES (beta) Details
MultiNES is a NES/Famicom emulator that lets you play classic games on your Android mobile devices. Besides offline mode, you can also play with your friends via LAN network or Internet (requires logging in Facebook, no third-party apps needed).FEATURES:
- Offline Single-player mode.
- LAN & Internet Multiplayer mode. It is consistent, has no de-syncing problems like other emulators that use NetPlay. However, the gameplay quality will depend on your network connection's speed.
- Text & Voice chat when playing Multiplayer.
- Supports saving & loading game' states, even when playing multiplayer (on host side only).

NOTES:
- The app doesn't come with any games. You have to copy or download NES roms to your device's sdcard. Their locations will be detected automatically by the app itself. Both .zip and .nes files are accepted.
- When playing multiplayer, second player is not required to have the game roms in his/her devices, it is only required for the first player (i.e. the host).
- To reduce lag during multiplayer, place your devices as close as possible to each other and to the Router/Access Point.
- Playing over Internet consumes quite a lot of bandwidth which is roughly 60-100 KB per second.
- The one hosting the game through Internet is required to have the minimum upload speed around 60 KB/s (512 Kbps).
- There are some routers that don't support Internet multiplayer hosting due to their Firewall settings. If it is the case, you will probably see "Remote connection timeout or disconnected" message popped up on guest player side. You can try to switch roles, i.e. guest becomes host and vice versa. If we are lucky, the new host's router will allow the connection between two players.

This is the best you'll get for actual online play for an android emulator, no other Emulator has online like this one. It allows you to connect or host games to play with friend on your Facebook which makes playing games quicker. Most other emulators fail to tell you that their netplay is only for people who are connected to YOUR internet. No playing with friends out of State or country. The only problem I have with this Emulator is the lack of controller support. My hands get cramped up after playing for so long and I hate having to be the reason me and a friends gaming session was ended. I would love to see controller support in the future and I would also love to see a Snes version of this. There's not many co-op Nes games so I think a Snes version just like this would be amazing!
