A Google User: Best program ever I downloaded this to help with the paltry battery life from my HTC amaze. I was using the free one for about a day and saw how much of an improvement it made. I ponied up the dough and I have to say it was well worth it. The advanced features are where It's at and make sure you're rooted so you can adjust features like CPU clock and other awesome stuff. The features yet to come look pretty good too. Just buy it already!

John Boat: Amazingly useful JuiceDefender is an amazingly useful application that can save tons of battery power, but does require a little bit of understanding and setting up to accomplish it. The Ultimate version is by far the best way to go, not only helping to save *more* power, but being far more customizable. People that do understand how to set it up are those giving 4-5 star ratings, those that do not usually rate low for obvious reasons. Give it a shot and some time to read the official site's overview & settings. You couldn't get me to uninstall it now if you paid me to.

A Google User: Must Have Im a phone salesman and deal with battery complaints all the time. I tried jd ultimate on advanced settings and with enough tweaking managed to increase my battery from 1.99 to 2.14 times expected and its no joke. On a galaxy s2 thats is usually acclaimed as a power guzzler. I take it off the charger at 8 and it will be at half around 9 pm to last for those late evenings. Takes a good android savvy person to use but well worth the money and effort to set it up. Superb.

William Corin: Very Good, not great This app is very good. There is no doubt that my battery life is extended. The UI could be made a bit more intuitive and the menu for enabling specific apps could be made much clearer. The key to this apps' improving battery life is limiting your phone chasing Wi-Fi or other networks. If you use the phone a lot, play games or do a lot of texting, the battery will still be used. The price for the app is a bit high for what it does, but it definitely has made a difference.

Terence Oh: Does what it promises and more! Didn't really need it on my Droid Razr Maxx, but was getting irritated with constant onscreen lags from applications trying to take over the internet connection in the background. Installed JD Ultimate, set the appropriate network permissions at the app level, and now screen swipes, screen on, and other activities happen with virtually no lag. Definitely cured my upgradeitis.....best five dollars ever. Installed it on my Asus Transformer Infinity right after, and got the same improvements! This app combined with the extra battery in my keyboard dock has definitely made the Transformer the killer hardware combo on battery life alone. As an added bonus - yes the battery life extension is noticeable even on my Maxx, I'm ending my day with a higher % battery than before.

A Google User: Change in my battery life.It works great!! I've been using it for a month now and it works great. I'm getting great battery life...I use my phone alot..and I don't have to charge it everyday..I'm get 2days of battery life and last time l looked at my battery use l had 20hrs with 70% battery life left...its all in how you sent it up..and make sure you use the mobile date widget it helps alot in saving battery..awesome app *****:)

A Google User: Finally upgraded....I was missing out I have been using the free version for awhile now and its always help with battery life and I thought it worked good enough. Then I put cm10 on my phone and it ate through my battery in 4hours and 5 with the free version. 2 days ago I went ahead and paid for ultimate--amazing! After setting up all the extras I am sitting on 50% after 6 hours yesterday I had an up time of 13 hours. I play games maybe 20 mins listen to podcast for an hour n text n take pics often. it is the greatest program I put on my phone!

Russell Szymanski: Worth it! I have spent money on 50 apps and most have either been outdated by Android updates or have not been needed after a while but this app already more than paid for itself with the auto-disable feature. Perfect for those that want information on what app is pinging the servers in a log style format so in a few minutes you will know which apps are killing your battery life. Wow! All the best to the developer/s to a worthwhile app. After checking my standard battery app and not seeing it there I was convinced!

A Google User: too erratic This program seems to be very popular, so I thought I would try it since my Galaxy S2 will barely get through the day. I picked the balanced profile, thinking I can always go in and tinker with it later. The program, either thru the notification area or the widget, always always thinks the data is turned off, even when it clearly isn't. I can, and frequently do, have the shield icon with the red dot, indicating no signal. Meanwhile, I am on my browser with no trouble. It seems to want it that way, since it turns off my data services at random times. It can, apparently, turn on and off the wifi as needed, but the cell signal it can only turn off. When I want to use it, I have to manually re-enable it. I am willing to believe that these issues can be fixed/adjusted/tweaked, but I just don't have time for it.

A Google User: Great App. One of the finest and very useful app. The battery life of my Galaxy Note, which was a real concern for me as it used to run out by evening, has substantially increased. By Mid night as i am typing this, i still have over 45% still left. I am a heavy user with with all sorts of usage, so this is really amazing.

A Google User: Outstanding! Really works! I am a new Andriod user and had my doubts that any app could extend my battery life without a lot of painful mucking about with unknown mechanisms. This one exceeded all my expectations and easily quadrupled (or better) my battery life on the most basic standard setting. I upgraded to Ultimate so that I could support the developer and so the WiFi bit worked a bit nicer. Awesome job!

A Google User: JD Ultimate.....Buy It!!! Its easy to be sceptical with quite a few apps but I must say this app is surely one of the most important to have on your android but make sure its the Ultimate version. If you're on your android frequently the effects are not too great but when its laying idle thats where the app comes into play, battery life on standby is fantastic, 18hrs from 100% and my SGS2 only went down to 91% only because I went on the net a couple of times!! My view? Get Ultimate NOW!!!!

A Google User: Works great I upgraded to the ultimate version and use the extreme mode. It takes a bit to get used to enabling your data every time you turn on your phone from being in standby, but my battery life has more than doubled. Before I go to sleep I have 60% battery life left. Well worth it!

: Awesome!!! Help for real not just say it does like the others I have tried. I like how its got the option for "auto pilot" for those who do not know much about it all the way to giving the user complete control I recommend this to all my friends who have battery draining smart phones. Good job to the designers and thank you for this app!!!

Clint Muzzy: More than satisfied. I tried everything to lengthen the battery life of my GS3. Identifying rouge apps, limiting connectivity to wifi and 3g... I spent a good chunk of time on the Internet trying to research how to extend my battery life. I should be just downloaded Juice Defender first. I was skeptical at first but right out of the box it seemed to double my battery life. Now after a day of normal use and full wifi/3g connectivity I get off work at 5pm with 60-70% battery life. I used to have to start charging around 8pm.

A Google User: It took me a while.... .... To realize JD is the best battery saver app for Gingerbread stock ROM devices. Tried all the other battery saver apps and tweaks available over a period of time and no doubt there are some good ones out there, but JD Ultimate is a grade above the rest. It is also super customizable to saving power without compromising your unique usage patterns. That's when I bought the paid version. Don't think twice...just get the Juice now!!!

Elvert Joga: Awesome! I find it truly amazing that my cell battery never last's as long as my carriers plan. So just imagine how great it is to get a new battery without having to buy one. This app is f**k**g incredible. If you're hesitant, start off with the free version and upgrade as you get to "know" the app. You WILL NOT REGRET it.

A Google User: Worked perfectly until new OS. I realize this is not the Dev's fault, and this is really a 5 star app! I just wanted to make this issue known so you guys can fix it. I miss being able to use it so much! I loved being able to control exactly how/when my phone connects. Please find a way around Android's nonsense! *Samsung Note 4*

A Google User: Well F me, this is easier than tasker and works. I've been using tasker to make my handsets sip power by disabling/enabling radios (which is one of the major power suckers with screen off) until I've seen this app on plenty of very smart peoples' phones. I'm absolutely impressed. Certain things will slow down. You will not have data for several seconds after wake on the default setting. This includes if you're up on WiFi. If you're getting texts via google voice (which uses Data rather than phone by default), you will not get your texts as they come in-- rather you'll get them when JuiceDefender performs its periodic data enable. If you require high availability, you're going to have to sacrifice battery economy. I'm impressed, it does what it says it does. Well done.

Randy Cummings: Great battery extender but It's a great battery extender and it's amazing how much. But, I find that the interface/radio are slow to turn on waking up the phone (Samsung Proclaim). Sometimes I get a "Connection Failed" or "Network Not Available" on my AccuWeather widget or Weatherbug app when I do a manual refresh after waking the phone up, but if I wait for a few seconds, the widget or app connect fine. I don't have the network/connection problem if I disable JuiceDefender.

Anthony Giesbrecht: It works well. Messy menus. It drastically increases my battery life through very practical methods. Automatically turns off blutooth when I'm not on a call, shuts off 4G when I lock my phone, only turns on wi-fi when there's a signal, and much more. My only gripe is that the menus are a little sloppy. They don't scroll properly on my Galaxy Note II, and some of the descriptions for the settings don't do a good job of telling me what they do, so I leave a couple of them alone. Otherwise, it's a fantastic app. Well worth the money.

A Google User: 10 Stars This is just what I was looking for, a battery con server with a difference. If you want something to conserve your battery life then this is the software application to do it! "JD Ultimate" is fully configurable to suit most requirements, and the options to disable running services when phone is in standby and then re enabeling them when phone is active is brilliant. Worth every penny, which I found out in just a few minutes of use.

A Google User: Awesome Well worth it when properly configured you can get awesome battery life. I have made phone calls, checked emails, and browsed the web. As I type this review my battery is at 92%. It has been off the charger for about 8 hours. The key to it doing so good is proper configuration though. It took me about 3 days to get all the kinks worked out. Great app.

Kenshin Kasai: Excellent App When I updated SGS3 to android 4.1.2 my power consumption started going haywire. My phone can't even last a day when my wifi is up, while back 4.1 patch it can. So I shopped around Play Store and found Juice Defender. After reading the review I got sold in and tried it out. After all that I never looked back. Highly recommended.

A Google User: Nice, not thrilling but nice Using the app on my SGS2, running Android 2.3.4. Mobile data was not working properly so the advise that I received was to uninstall the software and then reinstall it. Had to do it twice - now it seems OK. The information provided about extending battery life (x1.74) seems exaggerated given the status of my battery after half-day of use. Several features are under development and come with a warning.

A Google User: Amazing After using the free version for at least one year I changed from an HTC Desire to a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. As Nexus owners know the battery is extremely limited. I basically went from 12 hours to 2 days without charging. Best spent euros in the last years (plus, I also save in the electricity bill, since i'm not charging the phone all the time).

A Google User: Does what it said Spend a little time with it on advance to really see what this great piece of software does with you phones battery.. Thumbs up. Wish I could give another half star, only thing holding it back is the so so screen lock for the GS II. If that work, would be five. Money well spent.

magna mentis: Great for many reasons 1 of the best apps i have seen yet. makes phone use 20% instead of 50% in 18h, exactly what it is meant to do. every setting is very well explained directly in app. this safes a lot of time not needing a manual. some things don't work yet but they R clearly indicated which is fair enough. a small pity is that bluetooth settings R 1 of the things which don't work well on both of my devices (galaxy sII + galaxy note II) this would further improve things for me since i use bluetooth headsets on the bike as well as bluetooth external gps antenna in my car. some will think, why would he use a bluetooth gps antenna? Problem is that somtimes car-manufacturers overdue their efforts. in my case with my phaeton W12, volkswagen thought it a good idea to coat the windows with metallic stuff to save a few degrees in the sun. sideeffect is that gps and all other radios likeremotes 4 garage + main doors work poorly. not a really good thing considered the little relieve on the air conditioning. the app also uses resources so that powerusers who have their device on for many hours each day can well end up with using more or not much less power, depending on the relation between idle+active times.

A Google User: Cure is worse than the disease I try to support the development community by buying the app whenever possible. This Juice Defender is an interesting idea, but does not play well at all with my HTC EVO 4G (Android 2.3.5, Sprint 4.67.651.3). Even after fiddling around quite a bit with custom settings, my battery life is worse than before. Also, I can't tolerate the lag to reactivate the radio(s) upon return from sleep. Perhaps it is just something that needs tweaking by the developer, but I'm leaving it disabled until the app's next update.

A Google User: Awesome! Ultimate is a MUST have upgrade for this must-have application! It used to flawlessly manage my volumes and screen lock, but it became glitchy with screen management and sometimes never kicks my volume back on, which is functionally disastrous. It also isn't managing my wifi correctly, neither by location or triggers. My request is an option to REALLY auto-disable background data by disabling it via the settings with an easily accessible button. I highly recommend this app; it has doubled my battery life.

A Google User: This application is amazing! I first downloaded the free version and was pleasantly surprised at how much it improved my battery life. Instead of my phone being completely dead by the end of my day I still have plenty of battery life even though my smart phone is usually in action from 5:30am to 10:00pm. The ULTIMATE package is definitely worth the money!!!

A Google User: Amazing! Originally my phone (samsung galaxy s2) would last a day and a half or aprox 20 hours. I then got the free version of this and and battery life went up to aprox 30 hours. Then finally upgraded to ultimate and now i can get up to 50 hours. Defiantly worth the money.

A Google User: It simply works! My LG Optimus 3D used to last 16h until the battery dropped dead... I have wifi, 3g, bluetooth, gps, and everything else turned on, and I also use other applications that drain the battery a few more (email sync, Gotcha, etc)... Since I've installed JuiceDefender (ultimate) my battery level stays above 80% after 8h and I keep using all the settings turned on like I want. It simply works. :) 5* because the market doesn't allow me to rate it as 6.

David Lee: Finally after trying pretty much every single battery saver app, Juice defender is by far the best. Though the ui is not as polished as some of the other apps does not make it any less functional. Update: Had to drop a star because of connection issues. Juice defender doesn't properly manage the data and wifi toggles (sometimes). Leaving the wifi on and data off sometimes makes the app keep both wifi and data on, even when I specifically shut one off. Five stars when this issue is fixed

A Google User: Insurmountable Problems At least on my phone (Stock Motorola Bravo) There were serious problems with every configuration I tried from crashing the phone several times a day to Wifi freezing in the off state. All things which are bigger problems than the battery savings benefit which although stated as high as 2.10, was never noticeable. It's really a great concept with a huge amount of options if you want them. Unfortunately writing a program for the Android environment with it's unlimited variables is nearly impossible, especially a highly configurable one like this. Based on reviews this app works great on many other phones, so you should at least give it a try.

A Google User: Perfect I've been a fan of this app for years now and it's still working great and in my opinion still the best of its sort. I have the ultimate edition and it it without a doubt worth 5 stars. I have however changed my rating to 4 stars since it hasn't been updated since 2011 and even though I think it doesn't really need an update, it should have a nicer GUI. I also pray it still keeps the same performance on Android L. Give us an update and I will change back to 5 stars.

Kimberly Symock: Great but one thing missing Lots of great choices, from the basic control where it chooses settings for you, all the way to advanced where you choose every setting. But even advanced can be navigated by the novice, w/ a cool manual/site online by another user, detailing every setting. It's only missing the setting that can notify you of full battery when charging. But helps save battery by shutting down things you don't need when you're not using them (shuts WiFi off when you're not near WiFi, which most people don't know to turn off.

Matthew Godfray: Best battery saving app ever I downloaded this app about 2 years ago and used the free version for probably 6 months. The free version is awesome but I highly recommend spending the $5 to get the full version. Very worth it if you seem to have trouble getting through your day without running out of battery life. Best battery managing app out there if ya ask me.

A Google User: Avoid on Nexus7 Juice Defender works rather well on my old Samsung phone with Android 2.2 running, sadly on my new Nexus7 it turned out to be the second largest energy drain (13%) right after the screen. Uninstalling it dramatically improved battery life again. If there is an update to fix this I will recommend rate this app accordingly.

A Google User: Great! Really works Managed a rate of x1.6 improvement of my normal battery life with the standard version. Didn't really need the ultimate but wanted to support the app. With minor changes I now have a rate of x1.88. Great.
