============================
NOTE: There is a new, one-time, and very optional in-app purchase that will unlock (1) removing ads, (2) allow for unlimited debt and (3) gives you access to custom monthly payments. This way you do not need to upgrade to a brand new app for more features.
============================
HOW TO USE THIS APP:
This app is designed for those who have a basic idea of what they need to pay this month. We will determine the rest based on your options. There is no option to tell us your budget.
Rather than giving us a lump-sum payment amount, THE USER WILL DECIDE how much to pay in the first round of payments FOR EACH CARD. Not the minimums, but your actual planned payments. We will then take those numbers and make the needed adjustments as time goes on. In this way, you have greater flexibility to manage over your debt. You can play with the numbers to tweak your own plan.
NOTE: This app does not support bi-weekly payments (only monthly).
==================
SUPPLEMENTAL INFO
Debt Planner will provide you with a quick, simple way of calculating different aspects of your current debt including the time it will take to pay off, the total interest fees over the lifetime of the debt, your current APR fee, and more! Whether it is credit cards, auto loans, personal loans, you can calculate it. It will also factor in potential balance transfer fees and promotional rates as well!
Calculations in this app are very accurate. Remember, if you feed it bogus numbers, you might get a bogus answer! It can only contain so many built-in protections!
Disclaimer: Debt Planner will simply give an approximate amount of time (in months) that you will be debt-free. There are many real world factors that will put you at a different end-date. In order to meet the formulated date, you must try to pay as close to your specified monthly payment goal as possible.
===================
Note: Simple Finance Manager (formerly Debt Planner Pro, $2.49 USD) is based off of Debt Planner but includes a Checkbook/Banking Ledger. It is also ad-free. You may backup your debts in Debt Planner before upgrading to the Pro and restoring (in Settings).

Dayneris Rodriguez: Not bad It does what I was looking for in an app. Helos me keep track and see my debt and how long it will take me to repay it.

Rafael Berrios: OK app. Nice clean design but lots of apps do what this one does. If you can manually edit payment amounts and have the app recalculate then this would be much more useful.

Tanjima Zinia: Great. Helpful with keeping track of loans taken out. Puts the repayment in perspective & it is good! Not for a savings goal planning though. Debt left will probably need to be updated every month. For a free version - no problem at all! No trouble running the app.

Elizabeth Evans: OK Great idea. But if only it allowed payment according to interest rate it would be much more useful. Also allowing users to adjust amount used for debts would help.

Michael Lawrie: Doesn't allow you to set a monthly payment budget... This app seems like a good idea, except that it doesn't actually bother asking me how much money I have to pay my debts off. I entered all my debts (into the pro version, I refunded hence reviewing this one), I picked my payment strategy and it told me I'd be debt free in 6 months. Lovely, except that is by paying 3 times more than I earn per month... I have hunted, and I can't see a way of saying how much I can budget per month to pay the debts off - It has a nicer user interface than Debt Payoff Planner but at least DPP asks me how much I have coming in and doesn't want to bankrupt me. In all this thing is utterly useless, unless you have an infinite income, because of that one huge, massively flawed elephant in the app... In response to "\u0026gt;\u0026gt; KickingLettuce Studios July 26, 2014" - Of course I read the description, and entered 12 debts (conveniently copied from DPP) and we don't all live in a magical fantasy world where we all have enough money to pay off our debts with some sum you just dream up. For people in that position this is just plain worthless.

Phillip Anderson: Easy Quick and easy to use

Richard Lang: Good App more features would make it great This is a good App for tracking debt reduction, it would be a great app if you were able to add custom one time payments

Tuan Huynh: Could be better This is an average app if you want to know your debt/loan and you only do the minimum payment. This app could be better by allowing the user to manually input their monthly payment and the app recalculate the loan. Since not everyine pays the min. payment all the time. What if I want to pay a little more every month to payoff the loan faster? I do enjoy the simple design of the app.

Ashley Motsinger: Cannot edit payments This app is seriously flawed in my opinion since you cannot edit payments.

Rizwan Sayani: Nice layout but functionality sucks

marshal: Good app Thank you.

Brandon Buckner: Nice

Louise Massie: Looked at 15 others Came back to this app. Even without an amortization schedule, this one is best... The ONLY downside thus far is that once you enter a second loan--it automatically combines them. But really-if that's the only fault, then why complain?

Joseph Seal: Pretty good Its a good app but when I view the lifetime chart and it gets to a month after I finish paying something off it takes the money I would have been spending and adds it to two different debts doubling the actual money I was paying. Ie. If I lose a 50 payment it adds 100 extra in payments the following month.

joseph bushey: Good product Great to see all your debts and gives a few options on how you pay them off. Also it gives the time frame on when it will be paid off completely.

Miro Costa: Just what I was looking for!! Nice UI !

Jessica Sidney: Great but not what I wanted. The app is great. It did all it should and has great design. I guess I was looking for something different. I wanted a kind of debt tracker. I am not sure on a month by month basis how much money I'd be paying on a given month. I wanted something that would take the minimum payment for granted and modify payoff dates according to how much money I could pay in excess that month. Kinda like a debt tracker? I'm still using this one for now,though. Great app.

Andy Koh: Error spotted Found an error in payment plan. Entered 3 debts. After a few months, there is a debt left with balance of 10.29 but in the next month, it shows deduction of 256 for that debt instead of 10.29.

Amber Gant-Eldridge: Love it. Only problem I have is on the last payments of the schedule or over applies on the pay off and the distribution gets a little wonky for a few months. That fixed and you have a five-star app.

Jj J: Best debt planner You can add as many debts as you want and it will tell you total interest you pay and when you will be debt free. Very detailed. Thanks for this app! For improvements you can add the weekly & biweekly payments as previously mentioned. Excellent app. I wish I could give you more stars. Very under rated

Rabi Rose: Excellent Straight to the point. Exactly what I was looking for

Susan Thomas: I have tried every way I know of other than opening it to find out the monthly cost! Please share.\tI

Laura Wolfe: Awesome

Todd Brophy: Very useful tool One debt down two to go and now I can add larger long term debt thanks for the upgrade gang!!!

Ari I: Not a good choice I install this app to test it out and I found that u have to purchase it to tested out. Also, u can't add decimals in the amount u want to add. For example if u owe $213.14, u can only make it $213, w which is not the exact amount u want. I won't purchase an app before trying it first.

EXTRA EXTRA: Get a debt trackee instead Only lets you add three things before having to purchase it

Alicia Hovey: Mostly good I really like this app but I did notice that some times it shows payments still needing to be paid even after the balance is zero.

A Google User: Did this in Excel and my version is better! This code is missing important payment options .... 1) biweekly payment opinion to reduce overall interest. 2) Option to enter a monthly payment that pays off loans with higher interest rates 1st and then moves on to pay off the next loan. This program does not live up to what I want and need.

A Google User: It's great. Works great for what it does, could not ask for a better free app for this kind of thing.

A Google User: Need more options Its just a calculator for 3-4 debts now

A Google User: Great, got 2 sales today from it!

A Google User: This is what I was looking for! Finally! An app that I can enter my balance, my interest rate, AND my exact pymt. It lets me play with the numbers so I can create different scenarios to see how fast I can pay off my debt. Good job! Thank you!

A Google User: Really good but.... needs to have more than two debts to get 5 stars

A Google User: I'm satisfied Does what I need and its free. I recommend it.

A Google User: Nice Nice app :)

A Google User: . Good app!

A Google User: Awesome app! A must have while on your way to being debt free!!!

A Google User: Only lets me see my total debt, not a breakdown of what I owe to whom.

A Google User: This doesn't tell you anything that your statement doesn't. UI

A Google User: Wow this is really accurate! Thanks KL!
