How to install ClearCaptions apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.

Like closed captions on your TV, ClearCaptions on your phone calls lets you hear AND read what's being said, eliminating the frustration of hearing on the phone. Instead of asking people to repeat themselves, or guessing what was said, you can read the person's words on your Android while you listen on the call.Free for Qualified Users.
Upon download, the ClearCaptions app will direct you to a page where you can enable ClearCaptions by registering for the service, and self-certifying that you are eligible to use the service. Once enabled, ClearCaptions is free to use.
**NOTE**
There are two ways you can use ClearCaptions on your device: simultaneous voice and captions, or captions only. To see captions and hear the call at the same time, you must have a simultaneous voice and data connection, and your phone must be able to accept inbound calls. For captions only, you'll only need a data connection, and will need to use a different phone for the audio portion of your call. In either case, the data connection can be through your wireless carrier or over wifi.

I tried to sign up & before I could even try the app it told me to contact customer service because it couldn't verify my identity & booted me out of sign up! I live in the country & had to verify an address because it wouldn't take my p.o. box address. The town doesn't even have mail delivery. I had to call the police station to get an address other than a p.o. box in the 1st place. Why would I ever enjoy an app that's supposed to make my life easier when the app itself makes it impossible to sign up? It wouldn't let me get to the actual app. Verify my identity, what did you want a soc sec #?
