Car DVR & GPS navigator Description

CamOnRoad is a free dash cam application for your smartphone, transforming it into the advanced car DVR with GPS navigation features based on augmented reality. You no longer need to buy a separate dash cam to improve your road safety or to buy a separate GPS navigation device to reach your destination. Use CamOnRoad application for both purposes: as the car blackbox and as the awesome video-navigation system. Moreover speed cameras notifications are available in the app. No more fines from speedcams.
CamOnRoad App can store your video not only into SD-card of your smartphone but into secure cloud storage too. We give 2 GB of cloud space absolutely free to every registered user forever. It's more than 3 hours of your road video.
CamOnRoad can capture video in background mode. You can use your phone as usual: WhatsApp, surfing Internet or make calls (using hands free) and capturing the video in the same time! Also you can use this car cam application like a spy cam!
We don't show any ADS and CamOnRoad is completely free car cam app. If you like the application please rate us or make a small review. Thanks in advance! We love you so much! =)

Cary Henshaw: Need change km to miles then you would have a 5 Also need to be able to change km to miles on the GPS maps.

MacKenzie Leopeng: Will give 5 stars once i can audio on playback

flynnt77: Need option to change from kilometers to miles. Also, AR seems a bit dodgy. I know it's in beta, but in its current state, navigation should be disabled. It doesn't work at all. The destination pip moves around constantly. The app recalculates the route about every 10 seconds. The augmented reality line that represents the road doesn't do anything, it's just a straight line showing no changes in the road. Distances of over 99 kilometers are not accurately represented, it just says 99 + kilometers. The camera feature is great though. Not trying to talk down at this application, as it is a great idea that I would love to see come to fruition. Just offering my observations as I see them. Thank you for your time, and finish development of this app. I think it will be awesome when it's complete.

Haresh Patel: Excellent app. Works very well. And on top 2GB of web storage. For free? Thats insane. How do you guys make money? Crashes some times when I open it without internet connection. Still love this app. Would be great to have integration with Google Maps or Waze so can see the directions while recording.

Martin Dowling: Great app and full of features.... BUT...the screen stutters and can freeze for a second or two, no good if at just that moment an incident happens (this also shows up on recording). Running latest android, with a 10 speed memory card. No difference in record quality or auto or fixed focus still does it.

Steve Humphries: IT WORKS As of now the app work great. Sometime it has a hard time focusing at night. But not sure if it's the app fault of the phone? Eventually it clears up ... I like a'll the features compare to others. ................................................Thanks ... if you can remember to let me know what you found.

michael dyer: Works very well. Had a couple of software incidents but I blame them on my tablet. Would like to have GPS displayed on video.

Evan Futran: Works well but fragments not consistent I have the app set to record 10 minute fragments, but I get anywhere from a few seconds to five or six minutes. Does anybody know what might be causing this?

Oni West: Could have been great, but the GPS kept saying "recalculating, recalculating, recalculating, recalculating, recalculating, recalculating, recalculating, recalculating, recalculating". It got annoying after it did it the 3rd time, so it got uninstalled. I tried to reinstall and noticed the camera won't focus and the talk to text mode won't stay on long enough to talk.

Vijaya Rajan: Good app. Can still improve. It is desirable to have zoom feature in video play back so that the car number plates(registration no) are visible.

Jack Turner: Seems great but can't seem to get it to fast forward through video.

Naveen Flona: Hi, sad thing is I can't select external storage manually. Please let us select external path for allocating More date. Else its not worth due to more data consumption online.

Bryan Freeman: This app was ok when i first installed it but the video is all chopped up now and it's quite useless.

James Williamson: It used to work without a flaw and then today it just started freezing up on my Samsung Galaxy J-3 emerge. Nothing would function so I uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing and I did the update and still nothing so after leaving my phone off for awhile, then turning it back on it started working again however after the update I can only watch the video playbacks of my recordings on internal storage because when I move them to the external storage the videos will not play unless I move them back to internal storage so, what's going on? 😮

brian dagger: Great app only problem is I didn't see it before buying my dash cam it better than my dash cam

Dr Abhinav Kumar: App is good it works just fine, recording is good, only problem i found is with gps, which sometimes shows no place found.

JLS Interior: Pls make it record front and back cam

Tj Ward: So far no issues

Rajaji Sellathurai: Excellent quality good But cell phone need constant power supply.

Angel Nunez: Need a lot of work

Shanaka Kulasinghe: Great app

: great super

Deb Burge: Navigation doesn't refresh The nav screen is too small, cluttered and doesnt refresh. Video seems ok. Phone is extremely hot sitting on the wind screen in full tropical sun, even with air con. Just downgraded to no stars because the contact us doesnt work. Ununstalling as the program itself has too many unresolved bugs and doesnt work

Bryan White: Does a great job Records in background in HD, gives video previews, wraps around allocated storage - everything I could want (earlier problems caused by bad SD card)

Daniel Powers: Please increase Storage on SD card Love it for the camera feature. Using it on Samsung Galaxy s5. 16 Megapixel. Note when you change the save location from internal to SD card exit the program and reopen. I didn't do that and kept recording on my internal. Corrected and can store as much as I want. Love the ability to pick a maximum amount of space to use. I record at 1080p and can read license plates. I set the limit to 8GD. I use a little more the a GB an hour. I haven't checked the exact number. I record in 5 minute blocks

Perry Wheeler: Probably the best droid dash cam. It works perfectly, chugging along in the background. The only reason that I've not given this 5 stars is the power use - Don't even think of using this on battery. I have a Nexus 6p with a decent rapid-charge car charger (usb c ). Normally when driving I'm running Waze and Bluetooth, sometimes my podcast app as well and have no problem keeping the battery at 100%.. Start CamOnRoad and the charger can no longer keep up - I'm out of juice at about 3 hours - so it's not a solution for long-distance drivers

Boris Patkovic: Wanted a decent Dash Cam only, and tried a lot of them, but this one is the Best I have found. Simple, works great, saves great, and leaves little to be desired. Ho need to look further. Using it on Samsung Note3 dedicated as a Dash Cam, and love it. Have it on my Samsungs7 too, just for easy video use. Great Program.

Vadim Zaliva: It records OK, but there are limited ways to share recorded videos. For some reason instead of using system Share dialog where I can choose to share via Youtube, Dropbox, etc. they chose to implement their own which only offers to share via bluetooth, email, and VK. I also found automatic recording feature lacking. It starts only once per app start. I wish I can tie startup not only to speed but additionally to the fact that the phone is plugged into the charger. Speed is only shown in Km/h. There is no MPH option. I was not been able to make navigation display work.

Iwty I Will Tell You: Stop looking, you have found the best I've tried several dash cam apps and so far this is the one of a few that will start automatically. Register and your track and video are saved online. This happens when your connected to WiFi. Only app I have found that has speed and location saved together with video online. Developer says this is still being worked on but I'm happy the way it is. Oh, did I mention it acts as navigation also! One issue is with mph and kph. Video saves in kph not mph.

Tamim Kakar: Million dollar Suggestions Add these following for uber drivers. Make it run in notification when recording same as autoguar. User should be able to change front or back camera in sitting and also in notifications. Right now it's only recording back camera from the widget. Ad preview button in notification so user can watch and ad minimize so user can minimize after preview. User should be able to change front to back camera while recording in 1 file. Also see autoguard app for more options. Add these and your app will be number 1.

Shaun Miller: Decent app Nice app. But it would be nice to have options on what METADATA gets stored on the video. I would like to see the option to add or remove elements that are recorded so I could have all data or none so I had video only. I guess a good example would be giving the video to the police within basically admitting I was speeding too.

Kodey Kinder: Avoid this! There's no option to share to YouTube (as pictured). Auto darkens at night! I have no idea why it does this!! No option to save to a different folder. Clitchy. Shortest recording length is 5min intervals.

Shawn Gao: Works well but needs a few improvements When I set it to record at 1080p the app just starts to lag and eventually crash. I really like the speed stamp when recording however it is not accurate. I think it has to do with being connected to the internet. At multiple times during my drive it would I'm going 0MPG. Is there a way to make it so the the speed can be tracked using GPS instead off data/wifi? Also if you could make the frames a bit less laggy when recording and during playback that would be great too.

johngail beasley: Truck driver WOW you must be messing with it some more. App now is freezing up every time I send and receive calls. Also I no longer can download video onto my computer file It use to be a great app.

NYRaised: Good app, a few minor issues So far so good. Is there a way to change the date and time format? I fiddled with it under settings and can't find a place to show US settings, time zone, m/d/ yr format and show time like 4:03 pm. Thanks please reply if you can help.

Steve Coad: Rubbish Since when has the M1 motorway had speed cameras with a speed set to 13mph? When you're on the motorway and doing a legal 70mph it tells you you're speeding and the limit is 25mph? The camera is so jerky even on the lowest setting, a car going past you causes the camera to freeze up for a few seconds.

VISHAKA DARSHAN: App is simple to use & UI is clear with big buttons. Battery consumption is very less as compared to Daily Voyager. However, I am facing a peculiar issue, while video play back I noticed ~2-3 secs of video being skipped repeatedly & 1 hour video recording content was shown as 6.5 min (in playback), is this normal or am I missing something here?

userO03: Deserve 6 Stars Nice app. Dose what it say without advertisements. The navigation is not impressive but for me I just use google maps. After all its free and great support.

Dylattande: Best dash cam app out there atm It's by no means perfect but it is the best that's currently out in the market, it's simple and has a clean interface. It is a bit of a battery hogger though, a 35min journey to work from 100% charge drops to about 85% charge with the battery manager saying 61% of that was due to the dash cam app. This is running at 720p with the screen off too, at 1080p with screen on my battery can be at about 75% by the time I get to work. Other than this, it's a great app.

Darryl Coleman: Needs fixing I have a 32 gb SD card installed but the app only let's you use 8gb of it. Why? And why is some stuff in Russian? It only took 30 seconds to find the problems after downloading the app. If I go into it ill find more.
