Yes android uses flash memory, but it does still benefit from defragmenting. People that claim SSD drives don't benefit from being defragmented obviously have never looked into SSD drive specs. You just don't want to defrag too often. This does not defrag app files themselves; just the cache. I noticed a significant improvement in load speed for some games I play.
