VW Car-Net® app. Stay connected to friends and family by sending addresses directly from your Contacts to your VW navigation system. And, with remote vehicle access you can check if your doors are locked or even activate the horn and lights. Can’t remember where you parked? There is a handy little map that shows you where your vehicle was last parked. So much to do with just one app!VW Car-Net is available on the following 2014 and newer models: CC, Eos and Beetle (Convertible and Coupe), Jetta (SE with Connectivity, SEL, TDI, GLI, and Hybrid), Passat (SE, SEL Premium, including TDI and VR6), Tiguan (SE, SEL and R-Line); and model year 2015 and newer Golf/GTI/R/SportWagen and e-Golf models.

Features & Benefits:
• Unlock the doors
• Lock the doors (available only on VW Car-Net equipped model year 2016 and newer vehicles)
• Activate the horn and lights
• Locate where your VW was last parked
• Send an address from your contacts to your factory installed VW navigation system
• Search for Points of Interests (POIs) and send them to your factory installed VW navigation system
• Use this app to get the latest status (doors, trunk, and convertible top and more)
• Turn on/off Boundary Alerts
• Turn on/off Speed Alerts
• View fuel levels, including estimated fuel range (models other than e-Golf)
• View your odometer mileage and your next estimated days to your next service while on the go
• Request a Vehicle Health Report to get the latest diagnostic information from your vehicle. A report will be sent to you via email.
The following features are exclusive to the e-Golf:
• View current battery charge level, included estimated driving range
• Choose your desired temperature settings before getting in the vehicle
• View trip data to determine how far you’ve traveled on a particular charge
• Select when to stop, start, or how much to charge your vehicle

<span style="color:red">Wil Velasco:</span> The previous version worked well. I could see my car charging, set charging schedule, delay charging, etc. Now, I can't do anything with it. Called CarNet, they say I need to contact VW. After hours of menus and being on hold, I gave up... What's worse, the built in scheduled charging on the car doesn't work unless the app enables it... Thank you VW, glad I'll only have this car for just over another year. ** UPDATE ** Now I'm getting constant emails that the version of car-net I have installed on my phone is no longer going to work with my car... but they just forced an update on the app so it won't work? Seems like they just want to charge for nothing now.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Indramohan Alapati:</span> Great app to let you lock/unlock and check status, check mileage and next service due. App can be improved with new features. Keep improving guys.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Saman S:</span> Their email tells you to update immediately or the app will no longer communicate with your VW. Had to scramble around to look for it. Then they took away the charging status update like, and charging status keep saying no data available. Car for some reason is charging during off peak hours and driving up my electricity bill. Crap. - - OK got it working by reprogramming via car interface. The no. 1 feature of such apps should be to alert you if your electric car is not getting/being charged before the next day morning when you need the fully charged car. Every time I try to log in, I'm forced to register my device and every time it says that no cars are assigned to my account. It will not allow me to sign in and keeps telling me email does not have an account but then sends me an email! No battery status indicator which was the main feature I used. It always says "data not available". Also no miles remaining. You cannot see how much miles left. Pressing "Update" does not work. Basically, they made the app useless.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">xchopp:</span> If your Car-Net app stops working after an update (or after an Android update), just erase it, download a fresh one, re-register your phone, et voila! Your Car-Net is back. Don't forget to press the [i] button in your car every month too (a bit tedious!).<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Ana P. Zanetti:</span> Previous version worked fine. It's just shows the message "status not available".
