Terrie Reuvers: Latest update is horrible! I have to re-log in all the time and now am getting error messages and can't even log in! When I do get in it now takes two steps to change the temp. Why? Many times I change the temp only to have it not take. Please go back to previous version. App is totally useless as it is now. Would never recommend to friends as it is now.

Brent Hadley: One of the most inconsistent apps I've ever used. Thermostat shows off line more than half the time in the app, but looking at the actual display on the thermostat shows that it has a connection. As of last night I can't even log into the app. Have reset password, copied the temp password from email and still no good. It's too bad. The app looks pretty simplistic and intuitive when it actually works.

Alternative IV: I hate the newest update to the app. Before I could pop open the app update a temp and be on my merry way. Now it takes me 10-15 seconds to change the temp and when on auto settings the app seems to switch which setting I'm changing randomly forcing me to keep clicking on the high or low temp I want to change. This worked great before the last update.

Civic Turbo: GARBAGE! USED TO WORK UNTILL THERE "NEW AND IMPROVED" VERSION WAS RELEASED THIS MONTH, NOW IT'S BUGGY AND MAKES YOU CHANGE TEMP MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE IT STICKS! TODAY IT WON'T EVEN SIGN IN VIA THE APP BUT THE WEBSITE WORKS SO I CHECKED HERE AND SEE IT DEFINITLY SENSI/EMERSON'S FAULT BY ALL THE BAD REVIEWS!

Jack Moore: The new version is buggy. I've captured the misbehavior using a screen capture movie app. And, I emailed them to their support team. I've not received any response to my trying to help them fix these bugs. I don't think their support team is able to communicate effectively with the back office programmers. Support does try to help. But I think their hands are tied. I've worked with other support teams and they provide internal defect reference numbers when support sees that they cannot provide a remedy. If I had it to do over again, I don't know if I'd buy from them. Just based on post purchase experiences.

Rick Parent: All I can say is TERRIBLE UPDATE. Just read all the comments from the date of the latest update May 18, 2017. I have two of these units. They worked great befor the last update. AGAIN TERRIBLE UPDATE

Robin Herd: May I please have the old version back?!? It was perfect. New one has 2 different screens for adjusting temp for some reason known only to some app developers and now I can't log in. Come on! Absolutely nothing wrong with old app. Whoever had this bright idea should be fired.

Eric Hendrickson: The latest version of this app is a complete train wreck. If they don't fix this thing soon, I will switch to something else. Bugs galore. They've redesigned a perfectly good working app and completely destroyed it in the process.

Wendy Graveline: LOVED it... until the update. Now it won't let me log in and I can't adjust the temp because I turned keypad lock on because I don't want my kids messing with it and now it's 80 in the house! Frustrated at 10:45 at night!!!

Jeff Dutkofski: Oh good..... It isn't just me then! Please roll back the app, please for all that is dear and holy roll it back! Seriously, how many homes have more than 1 thermostat? Thermo won't stay on schedule and now doesn't play well with Google Home or Wink Hub. Please roll back the app until you can make some good changes and do some testing before you release things into the wild, mmmkay?

Marcus Wilson: 2017 version of this app works much better than the previous version for me. Temp change is just a few seconds now and connectivity is no longer an issue. Mate 9 Nougat

Shadow Assassin: Offline all the time. Won't connect to Wi-Fi at this point. Do not buy this cheap garbage! Now gives server errors constantly. New visually unappealing update is trash and makes adjusting thermostat a 2 step process. Still garbage.

Archibald Perriwinkle: Been using a Sensi (older, I guess?) LCD unit. It works great! Latest app update, however, is broken for me. Can't login, no error window telling me what's happened, just an endless loop of "login" then a flash of a screen change, then back to enter password. I sincerely hope it's fixed soon. Might just breakdown, and buy the nest.

brittany Hudson: New update is terrible. If it actually lets me login I have to go through a 2 step process to change the temperature and only half the time will it actually adjust my thermostat

Randy Sieb: Yes this app used to just work. Now it takes multiple screens, picks don't always take they have to be touch twice, just generally clunky. This is a clear case of if it ain't broke fix it anyway. Terrible!

John Reichard: Used to be a four or five, but new version doesn't work right. You can set the temp by the app... wait a few seconds to close the app, and now the app usually changes the temp to something else. Usually it will work ok the second time. Why change an app that use to work ok!

Mario DiCristofano: What a useless update. The UI was fine. Why do I need a selection of thermostats? Just dumb. And it looks magnitudes worse. Good job!

Robert Young: It worked great when I first got it. Now it wants me to connect to the wi-fi and I go through all the step at the end and it tell me it's registered. When I get out it takes me right back to the same steps again. Maybe it was a bad investment. Don't recommend to anyone now.

Scott Knecht: What the hell Emerson. This app was good but after last update its complete garbage. I can't login most of the time now. And if I can login, why the extra step now to select the 1 thermostat I own? Why did you screw up a really good app.

Dustin Tannahill: I would've rated this 5 stars but the latest app update is terrible. It adds a thermostat selection screen and I have to select the only thermostat I own to view it. Lately the app won't even connect most of the time and I get frequent server errors. It feels like I own a regular thermostat most of the time, which is sad because it used to work amazingly well and I recommended the product to others.

Ron Long: The app has worked very well up until now. I have not tried the new version because it seems to require a lot more access to my phone than the old version. I'm not sure why it needs access to my photos and files so that it can set my thermostat. Oh well, dodged a bullet on that one I guess.

Scott Allison: There isn't a single good review for the latest version of the app. (It doesn't work). Emerson apparently read these reviews and sometimes respond, but won't address the systemic issues with this release. Why won't you respond to us all? You just need to roll back until you can act on the ample user feedback, and fix all the bugs. Your product manager needs a kick, or replaced, and you need to hire some QA. In case you're unsure of what the problems are, I'll repeat what everyone else has said. Gets stuck all the time with wrong data. Have to force close to get it to update. It also randomly will ask for username and password on an endless cycle. Sometimes you can get past it, other times the only solution is to clear app data. This version is a disaster, you need to fix it or roll back.

Andrew P: New version is a big step backwards on android. Interface reloads at least 3 times before I can make a change to my home thermostat. Used to be so easy. Please do some real user testing on Android.

Trish Vigil: App does not work any longer. My thermostat is connected to WiFi yet the app tells me my thermostat is offline. Horrible

J Morris: Before the update I could connect my router now I can not connect to either router and the app worked just fine before. I get a message that my password is incorrect? The password has been attempted 10 times I am sure I was not wrong 10 times. A great product to a worthless app nice.

Carlton Smith: Love the changes. I can now see both of my thermostats on one page. Thanks I have been waiting for this upgrade. Well done!

Frank Amrhein: I used to love the Sensi app. Now it is terrible!!! I mean Terrible! Please go back to how it was before the upgrade. It just does not work anymore period!!

Paolo Lingad: Not working since latest update. First it wouldn't communicate with my module and now it won't let me log in at all. It just keeps going back to sign in page.

Katherine Mitchell: This was a great app until this new version installed. It started making me relog in every time, and now it wont even let me log in at all. Completely useless

Lee: App keeps logging me off even though I haven't logged off myself... needs work & needs to be fixed

SierraFoxtrotMike: I love the new update. I have thermostat, and now I am able to make adjustments directly from the main home screen!

Christopher Padovano: New update seemed to remove ability to leave fan on. Now it keeps switching to auto. You can override temporarily but not set it right. Seems like an oversight.

Gary Barr: Worked great before. Now I have to select my one and only thermostat before I can change my one and only thermostat. Who the hell approved these app changes?

Bobby S: Been having all sorts of issues since the new update. It's garbage now, switching to another brand.

Larry Deese: Latest update total failure! Set the temp in the app and it doesn't work! And yes it's connected to my network

Michael Hall: Why would you change something that was working perfectly? The latest update totally screwed it up. All I get is a server error message. Why?

: Used to work fine before update now would not connect to the internet. I tried for hours. If it's not broken why fix it. Waste of money. Going to get Nest.

Shawn Ryland: Since the last update the screen that displays the temperature (where you could select more that 1 thermostat if you had more that 1) shows a different temperature than when you select the thermostat. On the preview screen the up/down arrows to adjust the temperature setting doesn't seem to apply until you tap on the thermostat itself and adjust there. Seems kinda buggy. Never a problem with the original app.

Daniel Castaneda: Please give us the option to have a single thermostat setup, the app lags and crashes now that that their as an option for multiple setups.

WileEGoalie: I'm a professional contractor and I've installed many different WiFi thermostats, Nest, Lyric, JCI. I purchased one of these for my rental property as I like to try different products. It was easy to install and setup the WiFi. The app worked great and I could keep tabs on the temperature remotely. Unfortunately an app update shortly after installation rendered the remote access useless.(would have given 5 stars if this didn't happen) Reducing the thermostats value to the same level as a $40 thermostat. Hopefully this app will be repaired soon. PROS- cheap, looks good, easy install and set up. Has room humidity sensor. CONS- poor app, no motion sensor, no A/C dehumidification mode control, no humidifier control.
