How to setup RTA Smart Drive apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.
RTA Smart Drive Details
RTA Smart Drive is an on-board route planning, exploration and navigation app that does not require a mobile internet connection to search and navigate.It provides turn-by-turn voice and visual instructions, automatic rerouting, speed limit alerts, and displays POIs along the route.
Live Traffic lets you know where there is traffic, road works and accidents and reroutes your trip automatically. Instantly view real time traffic info and adjusted travel times on multiple saved routes.

Most of the routes are not updated. Like the jumeirah route which is open now for traffic. Please improve the apps capability to GPS. Tried on other mobiles also same issue happens. Even on proper traffic route is adviced and if u r standing at signal, the app goes bizerk.. Talks nonsense and creates confusion as to whr we need to go/turn next.... Painful. Now i am using google map with data pack some money spent but atleast i reach on time.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Sreejith P R:</span> This is very good app for driving in UAE. I suggest some more modifications can be added to make better. I'm confused all the time while exiting right if more than 1right exit.example, I want to turn 2nd right as per smart drive app, and it is not clearly visible for me when driving fast. It will be better if you can highlight red as first right, I could recognise 2nd right easily. My opinion has changed, not only is it better, but also has much more reliable & confidence inspiring navigation system, it is very accurate, impressive! I would like to suggest if you could add in the app settings the option to send - like an update message in case we meet new changes of the road. Example in the Mohd bin zayed rd - Dubai to AUH (going to DIP Yalayis intersections) - now there's Signal but in RTA it's still big Roundabout which I often missed to exit. Best thing about this app is mobile data is not required. There are some minor issues like some interchanges are not yet updated in the app. But overall it's very good to drive across uae. However now it insists on being given access to make phone calls and to my contact list. Without this access, which I am unwilling to grant, the app does not open. First I was thinking that it wont be work. We were using the gps that is made in china (fake). It was not updated because it was working in memory card so there wont be any updation. We were not ready to you google map as you know it needs mobile data. When my friend told this app and he recomended it. Now in my whole family's mobile , there is this app. So I also recommend this app to you also. Not only that this is so clear than google map and the graphics are like awsome. It has updation when there is any change . I salute to Rta crews for creating this app that helped everyone's life. Offline maps and search options without data or any connection makes you drive without any worries. A lot of options in voice. It will mislead your route and if you go for ride with this app, be sure this will waste your time and file as it mislead your path. Ita not user friendly at all. Was recommended by a member of the hire car team and initially I had my doubts, but it worked. Only downside is that it would tell the driver to make sudden turns or take exits, i.e. will say bare left and then 100m away from the exit to bare right which isn't easy to do in Dubai traffic! Also keep speed limit always ON. Map is always up to date and very reliable. I use it all the time to find my way.
