Both apps / both trackers play pretty much the same melody. Minor impact on phone battery life; glancing at today's battery usage, Tile is at 3% and Lapa is not listed (possibly \u0026lt; 1%?). Tile Slim: nice form factor (Lapa is too thick for a wallet), but poor range. 8'-12' away, brand new Tile would not ring from the phone. (Phone kept saying it was nearby, but when trying to ring the Tile it would revert to searching.) Lapa: responds quickly and reliably; in a 4-room apartment its range has been fine. Button on the Lapa (to ring the phone) lacks tactile feedback, but a white light lets you know you've hit the button. The Lapa app has some features beyond Tile: you can set an alert when you leave an item behind, and you can mark an item as lost to benefit from crowd-sourced findings (haven't used that yet).<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Luis Martins:</span> Works very well Only negative issue is when the last known location is not shown. It looks like Africa. When trying to link it to the Lapa app, it refuses to link saying the device is already registered. Very disappointed. Lapa: That is incorrect. The device came straight out of the package and was not registered with my son's app. He never opened the package. So basically, you sold my son the device and he gave it directly to me. However, it was already registered when we got it. So how can you blow me of by saying that my son should unregister? I previously reported on Indegogo that once you close the application (from multitask), it wont make any noise if you call it from Lapa. You guys fixed that problem and it was great. However from recent application updates, its doing it again. I ALWAYS need to have Lapa open on my phone, which gets killed once in a while by phone due to memory issue so there is no way for me to search my phone from Lapa again. Whenever I leave a Lapa behind and comeback I have to open all lapas so the app will mark them as within reach (and sometimes it won't even connect even 1cm from my phone).
