Pixels Green: FINALLY got it working, and the only way I could do this is by doing a Force Stop on the app each time I'm done with it. If left to run in the background it becomes lethargic and uncommunicative, if I wanted that I'd get married. Otherwise, it works fine, but it's not an ideal way to manage such things and it's a bit sloppy. I remain confident this will be fixed in future updates, for now. (Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195)

S Richards: Battery is Awful. App is good I think I finally understand it. I thought it connected through bluetooth but apparently before my phone can receive any data it has to be connected to the internet. And i was also tol that the battery would last a good couple of months but the app is saying Ive only got 70% left and this is the first day using it. If it goes dead after four days then I will have to stop using it because I cant afford to keep spending out on new batterys every week.

Lisa Crossman: Ive not had any issues with the app itself, works fine on my s3. My only gripe is that I can only exit the app by force closing it but I dont find this a major problem. Would be great if you could do your food log on the app.

Joseph Burns: Does not work I have contacted the company multiple times regarding the fit bug to sync. They have not tesponded. There is no phone number to call I have no idea how they can run a business like this. Do not waste your time or money. Please respond to my emails

Glenn Tom: Want to love it I really want to love this cause it is very simple to use but it isn't working properly with my Nexus 6P. Sometimes it will sync my steps but more times than not it doesn't sync up at all... It's there a compatibility issue with the FitBug Orb and Android 6?

Don Grose: App very cludgey App just about serves its main purpose of loading steps from the bug but it's slow, laggy and generally quite unresponsive, on a galaxy note 4 anyway. Can't exit the app with the usual phone back key and blue tooth keeps wanting to turn on for the app even after you've turned it off on the phone. Sometimes app complains of not being able to load steps at the moment and to try later and I've not been able to work out what causes this.

Shani Avery: Very difficult My husband got this product for me as I have gained several stone since becoming ill, but now I have been given the go ahead to exercise plus they want to monitor my sleep pattern, well I was very excited and followed all the online steps and installed the app when prompted, also set that up correctly, but after my first night of wearing it, it did not record my sleep and now the app is constantly freezing. This is very frustrating and unfortunately when something doesn't work,i lose faith in it. :(

Neil Jensen: Fitbug Initially found the app very frustrating, was testing it by doing short walks around my home, syncing it and not seeing any change in steps. It seems though that you have to be on the move continuously for 30 secs before they register, maybe to eliminate false step counts. App itself is OK after finding this out.

Luc Bob: Dear fitbug please help Dear fitbug I am having trouble with the app but also my orb I recived the fitbug at Christmas last year and it work fine for the first 2 weeks or so and the I sold the phone connexted to my orb ( iPhone 5) I recently aquired an android phone and my fit bug wont connect. When I press the button a red flashing light appears and never a green I went to settings but it wasnt regnosing my fitbug. I saw reviews and your product looked amazing and with the iPhone it was but now on Android my fit bug isnt working

Jack Knight: Mostly fine, but every time the phone is unlocked from screen saver I get asked to confirm the app has permission to turn on bluetooth. Can't this be made permanent? It's seriously annoying.

Andy Chadwick: Could be great! Shame it isn't. Too many bugs in this app to fulfil its potential to be great. I have logged a support request, but think it will need a lot more work to fulfil its remit effectively. Come on guys, please make the improvements needed to make it work for everyone who purchases a fitbug without realising the limited number of devices it works on.

Sez Patuwai: 500 steps in my sleep?! I think it should be able to tell the difference between a full on walk and someone at rest.. Not accurate at all. UPDATE. My fitbug turned out to be faulty.. A replacement is on its way so hopefully it will work as new! Fingers crossed

Simon Evers: Really crap Cannot get it to sync with Samsung galaxy tab A 9.7 with ble, apparently it doesn't support many recent android tablets, and amazingly the iphone 6s is not in the supported list yet. Finally got it working with a hudl 2. I suspect it doesn't work with a lot of devices. Getting it out of sleep is not so easy either! Seems to be buggy, end of month loses the sleep data for the last night.

Susan Gorsett: Reliability I have had the bug for a couple of weeks now. When it works it is great, like the flexibility and options. However, it is not reliable, it just stops working. Also my battery is already at 50%, don't think I will make the advertised 6 weeks

Andrew Larcombe: Rubbish app Buggiest app that I have ever used!! Tried on 2 phones-HTC m9 and Samsung alpha and simply does not work. Freezes as soon as you try to upload data constantly. This needs updating now as it is not fit for purpose

Atom ik: Very poor app Why does the app lose count after I have synced with the Fitbug and can see the updated steps on the app does it then go and forget that count and revert back to the previous count. Surely once bug and app connect and steps are uploaded to app it shouldn't forget the count. Frustrating to keep synching until the count sticks.

Linnita Howe: Nutrition tracker insufficient I bought 1 to test, and 1 for my mother for Christmas. Nutrition logging within app would be nice, but it's a problem that only calories can be entered for foods not in the library which is a very insufficient picture of the overall health of the diet. If the website isn't updated to allow tracking of the other nutrition factors for non-library items, then my mother will not keep it. Accuracy of the sleep is questionable. It logged an HR I was up walking, when I set it for 5 steps to wake mode.

DB Scott: Galaxy Note 4 Have I just bought a completely useless piece of tech? Are there any plans to update compatibility, or should I just throw my Orb in the bin?? Update: Now that the Fitbug team have basically answered by pointing me to the list of downgraded phones. I have reduced my evaluation to 1 star and thrown the piece of crap in the bin.

Dawn Hugo: 2nd orb an still does not sync Had my orb replaced. Using both iphone5 and note4. I have 0 freakin steps for yesterday because it doesnt sync at all. I sent an email to support@fitbug and no response at all! Damn frustrating all my efforts put to waste!!! This is such a waste!!! Seriously!

Chris Judson: Good but not great The app is ok but takes a really long time to sync from the ORb and also there is no way to share the results from the app to social media sites like twitter or Instagram...the most annoying issue is the sync...it takes FOREVER to pull the data down from the orb. Can this be fixed?

Wilmari Wachter: Really love my fitbug I can't complain about anything! I would just like to enter nutrition info on the app! It's such a hassle to go onto the website everytime to add something!

Jill Taylor: Gave up after 2 days This app is not intuitive. I could not get the sleep function to work and wasted so much time trying to sort it out but just going round in circles that I realised it just wasn't worth it.

Rhonda B: Are you kidding me??!! This app will not accept any information and when you are finally able to type stuff in, the next button does not work. I can't download my steps or link it to my humana account. Wothless and difficult to work! Buggy! Constantly freezes my phone.

andrew fox: HTC one bug bug...... Just bought the bug, and now I'm getting blue tooth crash issues. Blue tooth share has crashed. A report has been sent to HTC.... Why not to fit bug? This app if causing the issue not the phone which has constantly had bt active since I got it...... Confused but liking the bug, bug not withstanding, so far....

Mpume Mdlalose: Dissapointed App was working perfectly fine until i changed the battery. It refuses to upload data for days now. I have un-installed and installed it a couple of times but it will not. It shows a green light and the reports an error and show a red light. So sad😠

Sudeep Mehrotra: Not updated! App not updated to work with Android Marshmallow it seems. I updated my phone firmware and since then the sync stopped working altogether. The orb still syncs to another phone with Android 4.x. Pls update the app asap. It's been months since Marshmallow was released.

Heather Gilbert: Not great Have to try several times to sync the fitbug to view my steps. It never works first time. Sometimes it can take 6 or 7 attempts before it will register anything. Very frustrating. Not a good app.

Giada Lorenzini: Horrible user experience This app is just useless! The synk almost never works! I have to try several times before it finally works...it's really frustrating! I can't wait to get rid of my fitbug and of this app!!

LA Nwa: It doesn't work for me This thing blinked seemed like it was working but recorded nothing. Not able to participate in group fitness plan at work! :-(

Ken Ironside: Buggy app, please fix! Why does it keep asking to enable Bluetooth when it is already on? Why is the process of syncing with the fitbug device itself so erratic? Sometimes I have completely restart the phone to get it to talk to the device? If I didn't have to have it for Vitality it would be deleted.

Allison John: Great app Really pleased with this app. Been using it for about 6 months. Would like to be able to add nutrition on my phone instead of having to go onto the website though.

Julia Mathers: Very slow to sync, quite temperamental at first. Then discovered that my fitness pal was causing the issues and now works like a dream!

Glen Schafer: Used to work I have a samsung note 3 and just updated the software to 5.0. Everything worked fine until this update. All other Bluetooth devices work as expected but not my orb - I cannot get this thing to work anymore and I don't see a downgrade as an option. Edit - thanks for the reply guys but Marshmallow is not available for the note 3.

Emma Porteous: Does what it says When the app works it's good although I have to uninstall it regularly as it freezes on the start up! Slow to respond to touch too.😕.

Alan Chiang: Zero star if it can Poor app interface, all input must be done at desktop. The sync is slow and not 100% work, plus not compatible with most devices. All fitbug can do is count steps.

marie Pearson: feel like taking this back. everytime it says it cannot load data. I have to turn phone wifi in and reset password everytime. It never regocinses the password on my phone unless I reset and then it always seems to have 1 day with no data yet I wear it all the time apart from showering. Think its time I got a fitbit instead

PETER HOLMES: Terrible The slowest app ever used. Terrible, awful, rubbish. Can't get orb to sync with app a waste of money...now removed from phone. Will try a reinstall.. Awful app... Get a fitbit..reinstalled.. Freezes all the time cannot get into sync with orb what a terrible terrible app... Returning for a full refund, a complete waste of time, money and effort...

Steve Cornes: Easy to use Only takes a few minutes to set up. No problems synching device. Particularly like the sleep monitor as am restless sleeper - helped raise awareness of lack of sleep (in my case) so able to consciously change sleeping habits. Feel better already!!

Michael Payne: Keeps turning Bluetooth on and off When syncing on a Galaxy Note 4 it keeps turning the Bluetooth on and off whenever I run the app. Very irratating as it disconnects the Gear Fit as well.

Scott Caine: Improving Since my previous review I have come to 'understand' the orb a bit more. It doesn't count short bursts of steps like to the kitchen/toilet and back, only ones which will actually help improve fitness. App could do with some fine tuning like stop asking me for bluetooth permission. As a step counter that counts 'worthwhile' steps it is perfectly adequate software/hardware.
