Most are overcomplicated, incorporating alarms or auto volume profiles. I didn't need any of that, I have Tasker which takes care of all that. All I needed was an app which would allow specified contacts to be able to 'break through' my silent mode when set. This does the job perfectly, and the groups option allows me to specify who can get through during the day when silent activated (during meetings & appointments), and those who can always get through, even at night (using the always on setting). ****One caveat, on my S4 mini, the task notification doesn't work. Not a problem really as it's calls I want to let through, not SMS (I mean no one's going to use an SMS to contact me in an emergency!). But I see someone else with a Samsung has noted this so thought I'd mention it, in case it can be fixed****<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Armin N:</span> CritiCall used to be my only reason to stuck to android and couldn't use iPhone, but after samsung asked me to upgrade to Lolipop, it stopped working. When you guys are going to support Lolipop? On critical calls, it: 1. doesn't ring if silent/disturb mode is on 2. keep vibrating phone even after answering call 3. keep ringing, even after call ends! fortunately vibration and ring stop when click "OK" button on critiCall crashed message. so, Why does it crash!? and why it cannot ring when it is in not disturb me mode?<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Kim S:</span> A Must Have! This app allows you to set certain phone numbers to override your settings and ring through. It seems this app is obsolete anyway with the "interruptions" settings in Lollipop. Settings -> Sounds and Notification -> Interruptions. The key is to edit and "star" the contacts you want to let through and then set interruptions to only allow priority interruptions, then set the From option to "Favorite contacts only". This will allow your 'starred' contacts to still call and/or text you when your phone is in "Priory Only" mode.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">John Jarvis:</span> CRAP - DOESN'T WORK!! I downloaded this app because I need to communicate with my coworkers at work but don't want all my texts ringing through. It does NOT work! When I get a text, my phone still only vibrates even though I have the sms notification turned on for my "CritiCall" contacts. USER BEWARE!!
