Bounce Bites Description
Tokodo, an alien from outer space, hits the planet Earth and it is hungry. In it’s home planet creatures eat different food than people do in planet Earth. Your job is to teach Tokodo to eat healthy. Avoid junk food and form proper meals and snacks to get combos!How to play
In the game mode, tap the screen to make Tokodo jump. Tilt your your phone to move left or right. After the first jump, try to collect a food by tilting your phone. Collecting a food makes you jump again. Try to collect healthy food as much as you can and avoid junk food!
What does this game teach you?
There are lots of different kind of foods you can collect in the game. After completing the game you get feedback. This feedback tells you how well and healthy you ate. Feedback shows you if you have any aspect in your diet that needs to be improved. Feedback gives you information about the combos, how healthy they are and what are the health problems they may cause. It also gives information about vitamins and other nutrients you need in your everyday diet. Tip: It's not a problem to eat junk food every now and then, but don't eat only combos, which contain junk food.
About the project
The game project assignment has been made by UKK Institute and the Tampere Research Center of Sports Medicine.
The game project concentrates to the Smart Moves and the Healthy School projects. The aim of the projects are:
to increase physical activity
to reduce sedentary behavior
to increase the safety of sports and exercise
Programs develop free off charge diverse education materials from the field of safety of sports and exercise to primary, secondary and vocational schools. The content consists of physical activity, sedentary behaviour, healthy eating, sleep and rest, ergonomy, mental health and substances. All the information and material are spread to the field by communication and education. Programs are financially supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
