Had problems setting up the app, then the other person couldn't hear me and now after the latest update it doesn't dial out to allow me to make a call. I installed Signal at the same time as Silent Circle and never had a problem using it. I also love the red banner at the top of the settings page. And I just realized I can swipe right to left while in contacts to scroll. A lot of bugs, crashes, & features not working or inconsistently not working/not performing as expected. The company really needs to rethink their pricing plans & revamp it. Perhaps a more tiered pricing plans. Additionally,I would like to see more security features in the phones and apps. Only downside is that another app may be able to record calls while I use this app, though maybe silent circle takes over mic during call. The monthly fee is a bit high. I've supported SC since inception but the hard truth is; updated app goes offline frequently & crashing frequently, text delivery notifications (once again) unreliable, escalation for location permission required, password protection for texts removed, secure contacts gone, can no longer share files over text, overall reliability has decreased. Suffice to say, Silent Circle has proven they cannot be depended on for mission critical deployments.
