The GT6 Track Path Editor is an application for PlayStation®3 title Gran Turismo 6 that enables the user to create his or her own drivable course. The app allows you to choose the scenery of your choice, as well as letting you chart your own driving path—it even lets you trace maps or driving paths of real life routes. There’s also a function to include a variety of course-related objects into your custom track such as curbing. Once the course is completed, it can be transferred to Gran Turismo 6 and sampled in Arcade Mode, Open Lobby, and in your Communities. In order to drive the completed tracks, you must have a PlayStation®3 console connected to the internet, a copy of Gran Turismo 6, and the SEN (Sony Entertainment Network) account you are using for Gran Turismo 6.
■Description of Features
The following steps describe the course data creation process of the Track Path Editor:
1: Select a Theme
Select the geography/scenery of the course from four different themes.
2: Layout Mode
Chart the course line that will be the route for the road surface. You can also set the road width and corner bank angles.
3: Item Mode
Place trees, billboards and other items along the course.
4: Curbing Mode
You can place curbing along the course line. (*This mode may not be available in some cases.)
5: Export
Export the created course data to Gran Turismo 6.
6: Test Drive
Test drive the created track using the Gran Turismo 6’s “Track Path Importer“ tool, and save as a user generated track.

- Memory usage when overlaying images using the "Browse Files" feature has been reduced, increasing stability
- Fixed a bug that caused track surface to undulate with anchors placed in certain positions
- Fixed other minor bugs.

Importing a kml file only makes an image to trace upon rather than creating an actual track as you would expect. cannot log into the PSN yet so cant upload the track. Seems like a Beta release with all the bugs. Will monitor updates as the app seems pretty pointless and useless at the moment. The app will be worth using when 1. you can log in and upload. and 2, import a kml with x, y and z info to create an accurate trace and hight-map that will transpose into an actual track. I managed to do this on my own with VB about 10-11 years ago with Grand Prix 2 and also with a halflife mod so i cant see why PD cant do this with all their expertise.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Karl Pagenstecher:</span> Love this app, works well with my Galaxy Tab A. It was a long time coming, but well worth the wait. The only criticism I can make is that it does not seem to allow you to camber each corner individually as you create a track, if this could be fixed the app would be perfect. Second, the dang creator is just a polished p.o.s. from gt5. Nothing unique about it except that you can create the curve with your finger which even limits itself in many aspect to make a proper track. Can't make authentic ovals at all , much less a mile and a half track. Worse addition to this game in the history of the franchise. Thank god for project cars and ps4. Never again gt/pd. Difficult to use, not immediate, options are very limited, you cannot preview your track until you transfer it to the actual game. That being said it would be nice to have a better variety of locations, and either the ability to grade, or level certain parts, or some actual terrain elevation control.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Craig Brown:</span> So creating tracks is reasonably easy (using a 10.1 Galaxy Note) but you need to delete the PSN app upload the track to GT6 - lack of ability to modify the elevation or corner camber is a wrecker. And it has irked alot of people that do no have a tablet to edit or create their own track. However I am trying to use Bluestack with it, and it seems promising. Made tracks, transferred, test run & easily saved.
