How to install Avi-on apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.
Avi-on Details
The Avi-on app allows you to claim and control lights (or other electronics) that are connected to any Avi-on lighting control device. You can find Avi-on compatible devices from several brands including Jasco and GE With Avi-on's simple Bluetooth Smart Mesh technology, and the Avi-on app, you can dim your lights, set up timers and countdowns, and you can also add upgraded features like grouping*. All from your Android phone or tablet with no wi-fi hub or gateway required. Your device settings are saved in the Avi-on Secure Cloud, and your lights and devices will work as programed regardless of whether your smartphone or tablet is turned on and within range.To use the Avi-on app for the first time, please connect your Avi-on compatible device to a power source and stand nearby. The app works only when your Avi-on compatible device is powered and within about 100 feet of your phone or tablet. Avi-on devices include:
· GE Brand Smart Plug-in Switches and Dimmers manufactured by Jasco
· GE Brand Smart In-wall Switches and Dimmers manufactured by Jasco
· GE Brand Outdoor Timer Switches manufactured by Jasco
How does it work?
First, the app requires one or more Avi-on equipped device(s) that is properly connected to an electrical power source. Using Bluetooth Smart Mesh technology, your Avi-on app will identify any Avi-on devices that are in range of your smartphone or tablet.
Next, you will claim an available Avi-on device and add the device to your account. If additional devices are in range, you will be able to claim each one individually and add them to your account.
Once devices have been claimed and added to your account, you can turn them on and off, dim (if dimming is available on the device you want to control), set up schedules and timers, and set up countdown timer to turn devices on and off. The Avi-on app allows you to control all of your Avi-on devices easily and efficiently. You can also control each device manually if your smartphone or tablet isn’t within reach.
What do you need?
· A lighting control device equipped with Avi-on’s Simple Bluetooth Mesh technology. There are compatible devices from several brands including GE and Jasco.
· An Android smartphone or tablet. Device must support Bluetooth.
· The Avi-on app for Android.
· Android 4.2 or newer.
*Upgraded features like grouping are not available for all devices and users. Grouping can save you thousands of dollars in electrician costs by allowing you to combine and control multiple devices and lights as a single group in real time. I needed something like my WiFi thermostat control ability to be programed to come on and off multiple times per day (when I leave and return go to sleep wake up )that's at least 4 on off timed periods per day. With this app u are given only one on off per day. I spent hundreds, if not over a thousand dollars on GE bluetooth smart switches and smart plugs, and this is the only app that controls them. On my phone, I only have a partial group showing, while I do get more of the mesh on my tablet. Also, the network connectivity is only about 10 feet, not 100 feet. GE did over 115 billion in sales recently, but net income was crappy. Maybe it's due to the use of the same logic used to create this Switch and its SLOW companion app. Wow, just awful. UNLESS you just plan on setting it up once then it's ok. But if you wanted to use it daily, it will drive you nuts with how slow it loads up. No widget option either, but I'm not surprised.
