How to install Action Camera Extension apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.
Action Camera Extension Description
This is the official Sony Camera shutter application for your Sony SmartWatch 2, SmartBand™ SWR10 and SmartBand™ Talk SWR30.With this app, you can control the shutter of your Action Cam and other cameras from Sony from a distance of up to 30 feet/10 meters. Take pictures using your SmartWatch, SmartBand™ or SmartBand™ Talk. You can also start and stop the video function in selected Sony camera models.
To use this app extension, you must have Smart Connect and/or the dedicated Sony app for your smart accessory installed on your Android smartphone or tablet.
When you have installed this app, it will not appear on your home screen. Instead, in case you are using SmartBand™ or SmartWatch 2 it will be integrated into Smart Connect. Smart Connect app from Sony required. In case of using SmartBand™ Talk, it will be integrated into the SmartBand™ Talk dedicated Sony app. SmartBand™ Talk dedicated Sony app required.

Huge potential though, thanks Sony! Just finished testing the app with my Smartwatch 2 and QX100. The app is moving in the right direction and has a handful of features that many people will find useful. There's a shutter timer for 2 seconds or 10 seconds, but that has to be manually set from the smartphone itself for every capture. Clicking on the app from the smartwatch will open the app from the smartphone, and from there it will try to automatically connect with the camera, but that feature is a bit unpredictable at the moment. You can preview your view finder to post your shots, but that is also laggy. One thing I do like about the camera is that it's able to capture pictures even when the smartphone's screen is off. I guess that saves some battery for you to capture even more photos on the go. Hopefully Sony continues developing this app further because it has huge potential. I tried an app from a third party developer called 'Sony Cam Smartwatch Control', and found the experience horrible, and the rude developer was no help. I complained about the lack of features, and the developer rudely commented back to my review by saying I should learn how to read the feature list.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Jayant Malhotra:</span> Doesn't operate while locked the main thing is it doesn't operate when the phone is locked, if we need to unlock it then why to use smart features to use this app<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Frank Vugts:</span> Did not work at all.
